Most Requested Year-End Poll: The Winner

Last year, we featured eighteen Most Requested articles asking for figures from all over the toy kingdom. The requests ranged from cancelled lines to current lines, from 2" Minimates to 8" Hellboy figures, and we even threw in a juice drink for good measure. At the end of the year, we decided to start our first annual tradition, a runoff between those requests to see which one was really the Most Requested Figure of 2009. We let our readers decide who deserved that top spot.

After two rounds, and over a thousand votes cast, we have the results and are ready to announce our winner.

AdventureVault Review: Lego 7595 – Army Men on Patrol (Toy Story)

One of the cooler things that the Lego Group has been up to lately is acquiring the rights to work with different franchises. I love the traditional themes, but with some great sets coming out of the recent licensed products, I was stoked to hear that Lego had struck a deal with Disney to create product for the upcoming Prince of Persia film, Pixar's Cars, and Toy Story. Toy Story Legos were the first sets from the deal to make it to retail stores and you can expect to see Lego-ized versions of Buzz, Woody, Jesse, and these little guys right here.

ItsAllTrueReview: MOTU Classics Goddess

If you aren't sure where the Goddess fits into MOTU, that's okay. It's a bit confusing. You could say she was a work-in-progress stage as the creators of MOTU made their way to the Sorceress. The Goddess first appears, as the "Sorceress", in the first mini-comic and bestows powerful vestments onto a barbarian so that he may become He-Man. She appears again in Teela's mini-comic, now referred to as the Goddess, but with Teela's color scheme. After awhile, the cartoon comes along and replaces her outright with the falcon-themed Sorceress and left her consigned to MOTU limbo.

MOTUClassics.Com: King Randor Review

While it's been a frenzy-filled ride of frustration and fun in 2009 for MOTU Collectors, the Classics line has to be the best thing that's happened to He-Man fans since well, ever. MOTU Classics toys have been some of the most fun to review and play with this year. The excitement of opening up a toy every third (usually) week of the month has been something I've grown to really look forward to and hope it will continue to happen for years to come.

MOTU Classics:
Where’s the King?

Here at IAT, we split up our MOTU ordering duties this month. I paid for the subscription Randors and Vaulted ordered the Goddesses. Both of our orders were shipped to us on Wednesday and they should arrive here tomorrow. We happily thought that King Randor went smoothly, but as the week has progressed we learned that was not the case.

If you follow the threads at He-Man.Org, many subscribers are seeing their orders still stuck on "order in progress" up to a week later. Toy Guru has asked for members experiencing this difficulty to post their names and order numbers.

Most Requested Year-End Poll: Choose Your Own

This year, we've featured eighteen Most Requested articles. And although we really wanted each and everything we asked for, we also want to know which of the Most Requested Figures really is the most requested. And the best part is, you get to decide.

Before we get into the nominess, we decided on one ground rule. The figure still must require a request - they can't be announced/scheduled in anyway. This disqualified Martian Manhunter as his barcode is present in the Wal-Mart computers. We considered disqualifying Ghostbusters minimates, as two of the ones requested are in the third 4pk, but we've left it in as there are plenty of others that could use minimate treatment.

Before we get to the poll, here again, are the nominees.
