By NoisyDvL5 under G.I. Joe on May 22nd, 2013 I am seriously backed up on G.I. Joe Reviews. I happily subbed to the Joe FSS (& the Joe FSS 2.0) and, so far, only the first month’s figures have made it to the site. Did I mention I have all thirteen? Oops! And here I am reviewing the Membership
By NoisyDvL5 under G.I. Joe on February 6th, 2013 If I’ve learned anything from moving into my first home, it’s that I’ll be unpacking for the rest of my life. Seriously. Every time I think of an old figure I need for a review, it’s inevitably adrift somewhere in the cardboard sea in my garage. For Dice’s review, that
By NoisyDvL5 under Event Coverage on October 15th, 2012 Another convention has come & gone and that means it’s time for a little Armchair Coverage here at IAT! I was away this weekend, but I came home & dived in to the news, taking some notes along the way. Some lines had big news while others seemingly forgot
By NoisyDvL5 under G.I. Joe on September 18th, 2012 For years, I was strictly a toy forum guy. It was great for news and interacting with my fellow collectors. PoeGhostal.com changed that. Poe’s great reviews & insightful commentary helped inspire me to follow in his footsteps and strike out on my own. I can honestly say there’d be no
By NoisyDvL5 under G.I. Joe on August 31st, 2012 For Joe reviews, can you believe I’m still working off the case of GI Joes my wife bought me for Christmas? If that’s not a sign I need to do more Joe reviews, I don’t know what is! Today, I’ve got a quick review of a Renegades Joe, but I don’t
By NoisyDvL5 under G.I. Joe on August 23rd, 2012 I’ve said this before, but G.I. Joe was easily the biggest toyline from my childhood. I had my fair share of Transformers and MOTU. I treasured my comic-based figures and loved plenty of smaller lines too, but I had a ton of G.I. Joe toys. It was so different from today.
By NoisyDvL5 under G.I. Joe on June 28th, 2012 When the 25th Anniversary line gave way to Rise of Cobra, I was crushed. So many of my childhood favorites hadn’t received an update. Some I’m still waiting on: Iceberg, Keel-Haul, Dress Marine Gung Ho. The short-lived 30th Anniversary ran into its movie roadblock, but at least they got to Lifeline.
By NoisyDvL5 under G.I. Joe on May 28th, 2012 Initially, I was going to treat Memorial Day like a regular Monday because my review backlog is really piling up of late, but none of the usual suspects seemed like a good fit. And it didn’t seem right to just skip the day either. Luckily, I thought of the perfect Joe.
By NoisyDvL5 under G.I. Joe on May 14th, 2012 While the onslaught of G.I. Joe Retaliation figures will soon be upon us, there are still some cool non-movie figures to be found – provided you have a good ‘dollar store’ nearby. This so-called “Basic Line” isn’t a dollar line, but I think you’ll agree they’re worth the price of admission.
By NoisyDvL5 under G.I. Joe on April 23rd, 2012 The goal of writing one Thirtieth Anniversary G.I.Joe review per week kinda went up in flames the last few weeks. Plans tend to do that around here. We’ve got theme reviews lined up next week, but April needs at least one Joe review, right? How about a quick look at Sci-Fi?
By NoisyDvL5 under G.I. Joe on March 28th, 2012 I’m not a completist by nature, though running IAT and buying subscription-based figures has sorta turned me into one. Still, what I really appreciate is a good line that I can jump into and pick up a few great figures… though lately it’s been more than a few with GI Joe.
By NoisyDvL5 under G.I. Joe on March 14th, 2012 I’d love to have more G.I. Joe reviews here at ItsAllTrue, but they tend to get put on the backburner after the various other toylines I collect and review. Still, I’d like to get relatively caught up on Joes reviews, so let’s cross one off the list today: Renegades Storm Shadow!
