Mr. Rant’s Post Holiday Complaints

Waiting, waiting, waiting is all I seem to be doing lately. I ordered a case of DCUC11 from Matty on December 23rd. I realized when I ordered them that it was too close to Christmas to expect them anytime soon. To Matty’s credit, they had them ready for shipment rather quickly, but UPS dropped the ball. The tracking number told me my figures arrived in my hometown on New Year’s Eve’s Eve, and there they sat, until yesterday. Apparently UPS didn’t feel obligated to deliver residential stuff so close to either holiday. And picking them up myself would just be too easy for them to allow. So there they sat, a few miles from my home for six days.

Sometimes I have a need to get my toy fix by buying a little something, even though I know more will be here soon. This usually happens in the few months that exist in between waves. Even though I knew my toys would be here soon, the junkie in me demanded something to tide him over. So, off I went to the local stores to see what I could scavenge after Christmas clearance.

Most Requested Year-End Poll: The Winner

Last year, we featured eighteen Most Requested articles asking for figures from all over the toy kingdom. The requests ranged from cancelled lines to current lines, from 2" Minimates to 8" Hellboy figures, and we even threw in a juice drink for good measure. At the end of the year, we decided to start our first annual tradition, a runoff between those requests to see which one was really the Most Requested Figure of 2009. We let our readers decide who deserved that top spot.

After two rounds, and over a thousand votes cast, we have the results and are ready to announce our winner.

Happy New Year from IAT!

We here at IAT hope everyone had a great time last night. We gathered together for various board game tournaments and five hours of Mario Wii, so we started 2010 off about as unproductive as you can get! And, boy did that first .05% of the year fly by! We're off for today, but we wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for their patronage and for the support we've received over the last six months. We're still surprised at how quickly the site grew and humbled by the traffic we're receiving in our inaugural year. So, a big thank you from all of us at IAT out to each and every one of our readers.
