Well, my long search is at an end. After months of making the rounds between my local Wal-Marts, Toys R Us, and Target, I finally found a Transformers: War for Cybertron Soundwave. It’s been a very long time since I’ve had to hunt for a figure that hard, but lucky for me, I think it was worth it.
This year, I've only had the opportunity to review two C&Cs - Darkseid in March & Trigon in July. That's it for the whole year. After some serious delays, waves 15 and 14 came out virtually ontop of one another. That means this review has a double dose of C&Cs in today's review: Validus & the Ultra-Humanite.
It’s always a bit difficult finding toys this time of year. Not only are the stores full of parents and grandparents to contend with, but you also have to deal with random shipment schedules and untrained stockers. So I was extremely pleased to see a single case of Star Wars Vintage Collection wave 3 figures had made it to my Target’s shelves last week.
You've probably noticed there's no King Grayskull review in our MOTU Archive. There's a simple reason for that - none of us bought it! We liked what we saw, but we just weren't interested in a new MOTU line after what had happened to MO2K. So we passed. Who knew that two years later we'd be running MOTUClassics.Com.
Even with being a lifelong DC Comics reader, there are portions of the DC Universe that I haven't had time or, at least, made a point to get to. The Legion of Super-Heroes is one of those areas. I know the basics, the characters, the history, but I can't say I've ever read a Legion comic that featured Tyr.
Today, I'm stepping in for Noisy to continue our DC Universe Classics Wave 14 reviews. In the spirit of the greatest Brave and the Bold comics, I’ve decided to throw two characters together that you wouldn’t normally see: Alan Scott, Earth’s Golden Age Green Lantern and Kamandi, the Last Boy on Earth.
There's the MOTU figures you really want, there's the ones you buy only because you're a subcriber, and then, there's the ones that you just don't know what to think about. Grizzlor was in the last camp for me. The Ferocious Figure with Fur? Yeah, I had no idea how I was gonna review this guy.
