All this week, Mattel will be revealing their SDCC Exclusives for their collector brands. As you’d expect from the site’s content, I’m interested in the MOTU & DC Exclusives – luckily, Mattel revealed the MOTUC Exclusive first! It’s been awhile since my last Marvel Universe review. Truth is, MU and I seem to have had a falling out. Space, budgeting, the return of Marvel Legends, & just finding the damn things have all affected my MU purchases of late. I haven’t bought many, but I did need the SDCC Exclusive Masters of Evil 3pk.
Back in February, I reviewed OMFG Series 1 from October toys. The initial release saw some great colorways including the basic flesh, Kickstarter black, and site exclusives in light blue, royal blue, yellow, & green. In the months since, a few more colors have popped up. Let’s have a look see.
Okay, so some unforeseen circumstances slowed us down last week, but don’t look at this Vykron review as late - just think of it as Reviewapalooza going an extra day! I’ll be finishing off our theme week with a look at Vykron, Mattel’s Masters of the Universe SDCC offering this year.
I’ve said this before, but G.I. Joe was easily the biggest toyline from my childhood. I had my fair share of Transformers and MOTU. I treasured my comic-based figures and loved plenty of smaller lines too, but I had a ton of G.I. Joe toys. It was so different from today.
