I bought a Sword of Ages back when they were first offered last year. I wanted to talk about it here at IAT, but the swords sold out fast and I figured I'd wait until they were back in stock to show it off. That day is today: the Sword of Ages (& a few Dread Axes of Darkness) will return today at 1pm EST.

Dorkey, on our forums) was kind enough to brave the cold weather and long lines to bring us coverage of the newest and coolest toys that will be coming out of Japan this year. New pages for the Captain America & Thor movie lines have been added to the Marvel Universe Resource. The Iron Man 2 and Spider-Man pages have been updated with the latest wave information. And a Two-Packs section has been added to the 2011 page. Images have been added for most updates.

I've avoided buying too many Marvel Universe figures for one reason or another over the last couple years. I bought a few at first, but they didn't win me over. Lately though, the line has been getting harder and harder to resist. In the last couple weeks, I've picked up a few more and been much happier with the figures.

Mattel posted a new packaged picture on Facebook today. This time a shot of Sy-Klone in package. He looks pretty good in there and I'm particularly happy that Mattel was able to keep the classic lenticular chest and still retain the ab crunch. Plus, we also get our first look at Sy-Klone's bio.

One of the biggest toy shows in Japan, Wonder Festival, will take place on Feb 6th. IAT will be covering this event with the generous assistance of IAT forum member Robert Baldwin (aka: Dorkey). In addition to coverage of the event, he's also offered to bring some of our comments & questions to the exhibitors.
