Bane Week kicks off with a look at Mercury. Mercury is important to your collection if you're trying to build Bane or complete your Metal Men team and that's about it. I wanted to be excited about him, but I was disappointed by some of the design choices. And then, he broke. Kinda put a damper on things...
You wouldn't know it from looking over our recent reviews, but I've bought a lot of the Generations TFs. I should probably get to reviewing those - some of them have been waiting for awhile, but I wanted to rush Scourge to the front of the line. I've always been a Scourge fan and I'm ecstatic he's finally got a cool toy.
An odd pair to be sure, but with theme waves coming I figure I should take advantage of the dissimilar characters offered in DCUC16. I've been looking forward to picking up this version of Riddler. I wanted Hex too, but I had fears about how Mattel would handle him. Sadly for Hex, both figures met my expectations.
I got really into 25th Joes a few years ago. The figures weren't always perfect, but with a healthy dollop of nostalgia, they got the job done. When the movie figures eclipsed the anniversary, I bought some. The verdict? Better figures, but not better designs. This weekend, I bought a Joe that had it all.
When we got back from our New Year's vacation, my wife and I found a small mountain of boxes waiting for us - toys that had arrived while we were away. Among them, there was an Armodoc & a Rig from Onell Design. With my review backlog cleared up, I'm happy to finally be able to take a look at these two toys (just in time for the next drop!)
Okay, this review is a little late. The Great Wars Weapons Pak was released back in November, but the holidays kept me a little too busy to haul out the store and the review fell back on the schedule. I had some time last week during Dorkey's Japan coverage and the Great Wars Pak finally get its time in the spotlight.
