Truetorial: Real Ghostbusters
can’t be Megos, can they?

In four months, I'm going to be 30 years old. I'm not really worried about it. Things don't feel much different from when I was a kid. The space shuttle is still the primary space vehicle, ketchup still isn't a vegetable, and Clash of the Titans & The Karate Kid are new in theaters. Not everything is the same, more people care about who Jacob is than who shot JR, and of course, there's Pluto (sorry, buddy). As a toy collector, things feel especially the same. I'm still hitting up stores looking for Black Spidey, Desaad, He-Man, and Wreck-Gar. Over the last few years, toy companies have, ingeniously, figured out that I'll buy all my old toys over again if they at least try to make them better. It's an 80s love fest out there. I've been enjoying every minute of it.

Most Requested Figures: Expanding Movie Masters

I don't have a lot of Movie Masters figures. I have Ghostbusters. I view them as Movie Masters. I have a "Ghoul" Batman and a Harvey Dent. I'd probably have more, but I'm not a fan of the slightly smaller scale they're in. That aside, there are more than a few characters that I would buy if they were Movie Masters. But I'm not sure what Mattel really wants to do with the line. I don't know if Mattel is sure. The Dark Knight rollout was... disastrous. I know that movie toys exist in a weird, separate reality from their licensed brethren, but very little seemed to go right from day one. It's a shame because I sit back and I can see the potential of a line of DC TV/Film figures...

Vault Review: Iron Man 2 Mission Tech Armor 3pk

I’m trying to be good and put away a little money for the SDCC exclusive onslaught, but Hasbro and Iron Man are making that difficult. I innocently went to Toys R Us in search of new Prince of Persia Legos, and out of nowhere I spy this Iron Man 2 3pk. “Haven’t seen this before,” I thought and picked it up. A few minutes later, I’m cursing myself for being weak as I hand it to the cashier. But my weakness is your gain.

I can tell you how Hasbro suckered me into buying this. One, they’re in 6 inch scale. Joes and Star Wars can stay small, but I like my super heroes big. And two, these three armors each have something I like about them. So between the scale, designs, and paint, they’re a pretty snazzy looking group.

Adventure Vault Talks Blackest Night

Almost one year later, the longest night ever in the DC Universe has finally come to an end with Blackest Night #8. I wouldn’t call what I’m writing a review, so much as my thoughts on what happened, but mostly I want to examine where I feel the DC Universe is going. I’ll be referencing the events of the story and its tie-in books, so reader be warned: Thar be SPOILERS ahead.

ItsAllTrueReview:
MOTU Classics Moss Man

Who could have guessed that Moss Man would end up as one of the most controversial MOTUC figures? He debuted at SDCC with flocking that Mattel couldn't mass replicate. When they changed it, they covered his ears and all hell broke loose. That resulted in two variants for the sale day. Mattel cleared a path of bandwidth and warned us to get in and order as quickly as possible. Moss Man went on-sale at 10:57 local IAT time and both versions were gone in a little over five minutes. Somehow, amidst all the hubbub, I got exactly the Moss Man I wanted.
