Toy Run #4: TRU Resets, a MOTU Strikeout, & Imaginext Annoys Me…

You know the drill. You get up and you think you could get lucky today. You get ready and put on some nice clothes so you can at least feel presentable if you happen to get checked out. You hop in the car and travel to whichever place you've deemed best to satisfy your desires. You arrive with giddy anticipation. It's now or never, you tell yourself as you round that last corner. What waits? Will it be great joy or intense dissatisfaction?

Anything can happen on a Toy Run...

Mr. Rant says “less double talk, more double swords!”

I get tired of picking on Mattel so much.  There are a lot of toy companies out there, and I’m sure they are doing a lot of things wrong.  But, I don’t hear about the mistakes they are making every week.  Their spokesperson doesn’t personally post on a message board designed by the company.  This is why I talk so much about Mattel.  I have a weekly deadline to meet, and Toy Guru makes my job easier. So, today I’m pretty much talking to Toy Guru directly here, but the rest of you  get the benefit of getting to read it too.

DCClassics.Com Iron
& Mary Marvel(s) Review

I like to do these DCUC reviews in groups of two because it lets me get them on the schedule a little quicker. Usually, I try to group the figures in sensible duos just because it makes them easier to write about, Darkseid and Desaad, for example. But it's not always easy to do that. For this review, I'm left with pairing up Iron andMary Marvel. There's no obvious connection here, save one. This review contains the best and worst figures from DCUC12.

Vault Review: MOTU Classics Battle Stands

Trap Jaw and Battle Cat weren’t the only things to sell out on Mattel’s last D-Day. Even though it took a couple more hours than the other two, the MOTU “Castle Grayskull Diorama & Stands” also sold out. I imagine most people were thinking the same thing I was, “Battle Cat is a little expensive, so I might wait until next time to get those stands.” Well, at the last minute I caved and added a set to my cart, and I guess I’m glad I did so. Because if you decided to wait, you are probably a little annoyed at the recent comment by Toy Guru.
