MOTUClassics.Com Update: Sept Brings Chief Carnivus

Masters of the Universe was inducted into the ToyFare Hall of Fame at WWPhilly today. And while we hope some original creators were on hand too, it did give Toy Guru the opportunity to reveal September's Club Eternia Figure: Chief Carnivus. Official pics will be up Monday, but Pendragon's Post has pictures and news from today's event. In addition to Carnivus in September, Mattel also revealed the Fall Schedule (minus the who). We've updated MOTUClassics.Com with the new info and here's a look at the figure.

Vault Review: JLU 3pks: Batman Beyond & Secret Society

Do you know where you were when Mattel announced these 3pks? Do you even remember when it was? At SDCC? In ToyFare magazine? I don’t even remember anymore. I just remember Mattel seeing them and being excited about finally getting Cheetah, to get another shot at Shade, a Warhawk, a new Batman Beyond, and most importantly, Old Bruce. I’d been waiting for that figure since 1999. Little did I know that it was going to be more than a year before I’d actually find one.

Most Requested Figures: C.O.P.S. ‘N Crooks

Have you ever waited to pick up a friend at the airport? You're standing there watching all the other people walk out of the gate and meeting friends or loved ones. There are happy reunions and excitement going on all around while you start to worry that maybe the person you're waiting for didn't make it? You wait. Your eyes dutifully trained on the one spot where you can see the farthest down the hallway to the plane. You wait. You hope. You doubt.

With the announcements of Voltron and Thundercats dropping recently, I'm feeling that way a little bit right now.

Review: Wave 3 – Solomon Grundy

As we work to make DCClassics.Com a complete review archive, we occasionally have to turn back the clock and review figures that were released before IAT was founded. This week, we're taking a look at the third wave of DC Classics, the Solomon Grundy wave. I pieced Grundy together in late 2008 at a time when I wasn't very happy with the line overall. In "favorite wave" polls, I usually see this one ranking high, if not first, in the results. I always find that funny, because Wave Three almost got me to drop the line.
