The first week of May featured a slew of MOTU Classics news: New packaging reveals, new bios released with some interesting tidbits of the He-mythos, and accessory spotlight videos from Toy Guru. We watched it all with interest, but it was Nekron Week, darn it! That’s all done, so let’s recap.
There’s little that challenges my fondness for nostalgia as much as a quarterly Masters of the Universe Classics He-Man armor variant. They’re not just like we remember with newly sculpted torsos and a swank action feature that provided not only added value, but something much more important at the time, novelty.
This week has been so crazy that I lost track what day it was! I did remember to mark the calendar today though! Spy Monkey Creations is dropping three new colorways this afternoon at 12pm PST. I’ve got a quick review, links to better reviews, and all the info right here.
Do my eyes deceive me? Is there finally another Snakeman in the MOTU Classics line? Yes! I was overjoyed to see Kobra Khan make his way into the line, a full year after the last Snakeman, no less. My wait would be a little longer though, Khan just arrived this week.
Mattel gave us another double dose of Masters of the Universe Classics Bio goodness today with packaging reveals for the Mighty Spector and the scaly NA goon Slush Head. Both biographies are a decent read with Spector’s giving tidbits about MOTU in a future time. Images & Bios after the jump.
