With the Castle Grayskull pre-order scheduled to wrap up next Monday I’ve got MOTU on the brain. Coincidentally, we’ve also got plenty of MOTU Classics figs to review. That’s how theme weeks are born, fellas! It’s all MOTUC this week, starting with the Temple of Darkness Sorceress!
This is going to be a quick review today. I usually aim for about a thousand words per review, but all I’m covering is a teeny, tiny sword. I don't remember if I posted about it at the time, but shortly before Power-Con Mattel announced they’d give away an accessory to attendees. This is that accessory.
Another convention has come & gone and that means it's time for a little Armchair Coverage here at IAT! I was away this weekend, but I came home & dived in to the news, taking some notes along the way. Some lines had big news while others seemingly forgot there was a con on this weekend.
It’s been a few weeks since I’ve reviewed a MOTU Classics. All told, Sir Laser Lot should be the next up for review, but I’m not much in the mood for laser knights as I write this. I can't escape the primary colors of red & blue though, as I'll be taking a look at Mekaneck instead.
Masters of the Universe Classics usually does a fantastic job of updating vintage figures with a more modernized look. I was particularly excited to see what Dragon Blaster Skeletor’s would look like. Unfortunately I think my expectations were too high.
Powercon 2012 kicked off yesterday in Los Angeles and Mattel wasted no time; their Mattycollector panel was first thing Saturday morning. We'd been told there might not be much to see, but Toy Guru teased a huge announcement. Well, there weren’t many reveals, but huge just about covers it...
