Round Two
Most Requested Semi-Finals

It’s come time again to whittle down our mid-year requests and send them to December as semi-finalists! We’ve got a strange batch of candidates this round including a disqualification and the surprising return a Round One Runner-Up! Voting will be open for two weeks, but don’t wait! Come in and cast your vote today!

As always, we want to remind you that we take nominations for “Most Requested” from your e-mails and feedback! We’re still looking for the last twelve contenders for round three! If you’ve got a suggestion, don’t hesitate to email us or post in our Most Requested Thread on the IAT forums! So, if you don’t see a favorite listed here, send it in to us and we may use it for the third and final round!

Back in April, your votes chose the first four Semi-Finalists: figures from the Justise League: Crisis on Two Earths movie, the return of Dino Riders, Rita Repulsa from Power Rangers, and Panthor from Masters of the Universe. Today, you’ll be choosing among the 12 contestants for Round 2 to become the second group of candidates to be voted on in the Final Round this December.

For Round Two, you’ll choose four of the nominees listed below (or a write-in candidate). Voting for this round will continue until 11:59pm CST, Wednesdayday, August 25th. On August 26th, we’ll reveal which four candidates your votes sent to the Semi-Final Round of IAT’s 2010 Most Requested Figure.

Finally, there is one ground rule in our Most Requested Contest. The figure still must require a request – they can’t have been officially announced or scheduled. If any of the nominees you send to December are included in an announcement before the finals begin, they’ll be disqualfied and the next in line will take their place. This is particularly important in this round as we already have a disqualification!

We’re happy to report that one of Round 2 Candidates, JLU Kalibak, was announced at San Diego Comic-Con. He’s joining DCUC Martian Manhunter, Arkillo, JLU Toyman, and our 2009 Most Requested Winner Mera in making the jump from our Most Requested article to plastic form! Since Kalibak has been disqualified, we’re going back to Round One’s first Runner up and giving that candidate a second chance! Looking back to Round One, the first runner up surprised even us – Jimmy Fallon! Yep, the host of Late Night is getting another shot, but he’s got some stiff competition this round.

Here are the nominees:

Micronauts DC Classics Gangbuster Blackstar
Iron Man 2’s Happy Hogan C.O.P.S. John Carter of Mars
Freedom Fighters Jimmy Fallon Castlevania’s Gabriel
The Old Spice Guy MU Invisible Woman The Prisoner

Again, you can choose up to four of the above nominees. If you want to choose four write-ins, simply write-in four candidates (along with the company/line) separate by commas. Remember, if youre choose write-ins, you should take a minute to campaign below and sway others to your cause! Voting for this round will continue until 11:59pm CST, Wednesdayday, August 25th. On August 26th, we’ll reveal which four finalists your votes sent to the next round of IAT’s 2010 Most Requested Figure.

Thank you for your participation and be sure to check back on the 26th to see which four made the finals!

    1. We’ve given that some thought. Jimmy Fallon was our alternate for that eventuality, but Kalibak bumped him back in already. I’d say that people should keep an eye on whoever comes in 5th in this round – if they beat Jimmy – and they’ll be the new first alternate.

  1. I voted Old Spice guy and Happy Hogan. I am practically getting a Downey Jr. action figure as well as a Samuel L Jackson, Liam Neeson and others, you better believe I want both Jon Favreau and the hunkiest guy who lives in a shower!

  2. I only voted for Gangbuster and COPS; I also threw Lord Vigo from Ghostbusters II on there; I AIN’ GIVING UP, PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!! 😀

  3. Rally to me, people, in your support of…THE HERCULOIDS and JOHNNY QUEST
Don’t think quest has ever had figures but I’m nearly positive that the Herculoids haven’t, and aren’t in the works.

  4. to be fair, Reverend Ender, both got figures:

Toynami did the Herculoids back around ’03 or ’04, and aside from those Real Adventures of Johnny Quest figures, McFarlane Toys also did a set a few years back.

  5. Voted Gangbuster, Freedom Fighters, John Carter, and for fun threw in DCUC Star-Spangled Kid.

I really dig Old Spice Guy but considered what my wife might think about me collecting a figure of a guy in nothing but a towel standing outside a shower.

(On the other hand, she might become less judgmental over Power Girl and Phantom Lady.)

  6. Jimmmy Fallon Classics?

I vote MST3K Classics in the other slot. Crow, Servo, Joel, Dr. Forester, TV’s Frank BAF: Pearl Forester

  7. Micronauts (already have custom Bug and Rann, Mari inadvertantly became Firestar. oops.),
    Gangbuster, Happy, MU Sue

  8. Look at the other options, back at me,look at the other options. They’re now turds.
Old Spice guy FTW… Now the world would implode if we had an Old Spice guy vs the World’s Most Interesting Man from DosEquis
