Last year, IAT held it's 2010 Most Requested figure contest. Last year's winner was none other than "Blonde Bikini" Teela. Released under the less hilarious, but more appropriate Battleground Teela moniker, she's quickly moved from our wish lists to our shelves as June's Quarterly MOTU figure.
I feel defeated today. It’s been a busy week and this is the first time I’ve had a chance to sit down and open last week's Matty figures.
Now, I don’t expect perfection. That’s an impossible order. But I do expect equal pay out for the amount of money I spend. These Matty toys are supposedly a “collector’s” line. But I’m not even sure if Mattel knows what that means sometimes
If you've been buying MOTU Classics since their debut nearly a year ago, your MOTU shelf was starting to look more like the He-Man Woman Haters Club than Masters of the Universe. But, Mattel took a huge leap forward this month with its first all-new figure since last December's Beast Man: Teela. Fortunately, Mattel saw fit to not try and make a Teela using the He-Man buck and charged the 4H with making a female buck for the line. This new body is (hopefully) going to be seeing repeated use for the large catalog of She-Ra characters, but it all starts here with Teela.
