Preview Night seems so different from just a few years ago when it comes to San Diego and its online coverage. In past years, the night before SDCC wasn't really the place for reveals and the technology wasn’t ready to beam back anything quickly. This year’s Preview Night is almost unrecognizable. 
In a press release today, Toys R Us and Entertainment Earth revealed a handful of shared SDCC/online exclusives. There's plenty of cool items from several hot toy lines, but there's one you know is near and dear to my heart. A DC vs MOTU 2pk featuring Bizarro facing off against... Battle Armor Faker!
As last week was drifting into the weekend, we got a few news tidbits from Mattel. First was the update to tomorrow's Mad Monday sale that we reported on previously and then came our first look at the biographies for the two MOTU Classics figures shipping in September: Leech & Hurricane Hordak.
In Costume Consensus, we poll our readers about which costumes they’d prefer to buy when their favorite characters are finally turned into action figures. Instead of costume design, this time we’re focusing on the many color choices presented over the years by Masters of the Universe character Ram Man.
I love getting the non-traditional characters in the MOTU Classics line. So June was actually a pretty exciting month for me. Not only were we able to pick up Teela in here non-canon DC Comics barbarian swimsuit look, but we also got an original 200X character with The Faceless One.
A good checklist is almost always a work in progress and while we were away the last couple weeks we missed a fair share of updates. As IAT returns to its normal schedule, I need to spend some time getting our various checklists in order. I've started with MOTU Classics, Ghostbusters, & Captain America.
It's been a busy week for Mattel news. We've gotten better images of Swamp Thing, an early look at Young Justice packaging, DC Universe Classics wave 17 in package, and the love has finally rolled around to Masters of the Universe Classics with package shots and bios for Man-E-Faces and Megator.
