This review is a bit oddly commemorative. The original Figma Drossel was my first review for IAT waaaay back in 2009. She was also the first Japanese import I’d ever purchased. So I’m feeling a roundabout nostalgia for Figma’s newest Drossel figure. 
DCUC is dead. Long live… DCUC! Last year, Mattel took my collector heart and crushed it with six little words: “will no longer be at retail”. Summer 2011 will not soon be forgotten by DC fans. The toyline imploded. The comics disintegrated. It was a bad time to love DC Comics.
As I mentioned in my last Marvel Universe 2pk Review, the space characters and the 90s X-Men are my two weak spots when it comes to resisting Marvel Universe figures. That means, as sure I picked up Thanos & Adam Warlock, I just had to buy Gambit and Mr. Sinister too.
After trudging through Ebay and various sites dedicated to reselling toys for the last few weeks, the stars aligned & I discovered Godzilla’s bonus effects pack. The most difficult thing was finding it at a decent price while I had the extra funds to waste.
Initially, I was going to treat Memorial Day like a regular Monday because my review backlog is really piling up of late, but none of the usual suspects seemed like a good fit. And it didn’t seem right to just skip the day either. Luckily, I thought of the perfect Joe.
We’re a little behind on our MOTU reviews, so I thought I’d end this week with a look at the first figure in the 30th Anniversary sub-line: Draego-Man! This guy so impressive, he's easily become one of my favorite figures in the line so far.
Last night I remembered that I run a toy review website. Between a business trip to Kansas City and a quick jaunt to Texas for the eclipse (and a bunch of work in-between), IAT’s been light on my updates the last two weeks. Let’s fix that with a Marvel Universe review.
