I’m setting a bad precedent doing two consecutive weekend spotlights, but you guys don’t really mind do you? I mailed off a check to the GI Joe Collector Club this week and that got me thinking about last year’s figure, Dial-Tone. Turns out he never made it onto the review schedule.
With the plethora of recent 7th Market releases (SMC, OSM, OMFG!), it’s been awhile since I’ve gotten to review Glyos! I try not to open toys until closer to their review, so I’ve been dying to get caught up. Let’s jump back into the Glyos System with the Gendrone Shock Force!
With 6” Marvel figures only trickling out in recent years, it seemed like the toyline of the early 2000s was deep in slumber. The behemoth is awake now. I know because I just bought some figures I didn’t want to build-a-figure I knew nothing about. That’s the power of Marvel Legends.
One of the more interesting toy lines to come along in a while is Revoltech’s new Buddhist Statue Collection, sculpted by Takeya Takayuki. Going against the core teachings of Buddha himself, I never knew how cool the toy of a Buddhist god could be.
For me, February was a “finally!” month for Masters of the Universe Classics. And while there’s finally a figure of Shadow Weaver, finally a Fearless Photog figure, and Sorceress finally got her due in the Classics line, my personal “finally!” is for none other than the Heroic Hand-to-Hand fighter himself, Fisto!
As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve got quite the review backlog going and some of the figures have been waiting for awhile. Rather than get further behind by trying to still fit them into the regular schedule, I’m going to do some occasional weekend reviews. I’m starting with Mattel’s Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man.
