As I mentioned in my last Marvel Universe 2pk Review, the space characters and the 90s X-Men are my two weak spots when it comes to resisting Marvel Universe figures. That means, as sure I picked up Thanos & Adam Warlock, I just had to buy Gambit and Mr. Sinister too.
Last night I remembered that I run a toy review website. Between a business trip to Kansas City and a quick jaunt to Texas for the eclipse (and a bunch of work in-between), IAT’s been light on my updates the last two weeks. Let’s fix that with a Marvel Universe review.
I know, It’s been a long while since I’ve ordered and reviewed a Sci-Fi Revoltech action figure. That’s mostly due to them not producing any more Godzilla kaiju. But I did decide to pull the trigger and order their latest movie Iron Man release, the Mark III Armor.
With 6” Marvel figures only trickling out in recent years, it seemed like the toyline of the early 2000s was deep in slumber. The behemoth is awake now. I know because I just bought some figures I didn’t want to build-a-figure I knew nothing about. That’s the power of Marvel Legends.
I had a whole other review planned out for today, but best laid plans go awry easily when you make a minor toy haul from Toys R Us. Not only did I discover the first wave of Transformers Prime, but also the new Marvel Legends! 
If you’ve read IAT for awhile, you know I love alternate costumes. Symbiote Spidey. Electric Supes. Black Batsuit. War Machine. Hooked Aquaman. I could go on... There’s just something I find neat about the tried & true looks being experimented with, but what I really like is when they get figures.
After a particularly hectic September and a promotion in October, my ability to keep up with the latest toy news is a bit compromised. I had no idea that the 6” movie-related Cap & Thor figures had reached stores when I found Loki sneering at me from the pegs last night.
