It’s been a while since I’ve done a review on a Japanese import. There’re a couple of reasons for this. The Sci-Fi Revoltech line has slowed way down now that they can’t do as many kaiju. Second, a lot of the figures I’ve been pre-ordering keep getting delayed. This was the case for Figma’s KOS-MOS figure.

It's been a busy week for Mattel news. We've gotten better images of Swamp Thing, an early look at Young Justice packaging, DC Universe Classics wave 17 in package, and the love has finally rolled around to Masters of the Universe Classics with package shots and bios for Man-E-Faces and Megator.

This Thor figure was one of four Marvel Universe exclusives released at last year's San Diego Comicon and is based on his appearance in Ages of Thunder. I wasn't able to get him reviewed in time for Thor week, but that's okay, because now he can be a THORsday review to help promote The Daily Thor!

Earlier this week, Mattel released images of the DC Universe Classics Wave 17. This wave stirred up a lot of controversy when it was announced, so how it sells in the next few weeks will be interesting. I'm buying because I want to build the Anti-Monitor and, hey, the figures at least look good...

I'm a little late on this news, but Mattel uploaded a half dozen pics of Swamp Thing on their Facebook page earlier today. Look, I never want to be the guy that decries things that are new or different upfront. And I'm willing to give this Swampy a try, but looking at these pics I do kinda wish Mattel had just kept it simple.
