Since I didn’t buy the battle-damaged Iron Man, this will be my last Avengers review for the foreseeable future. It feels wrong. No Black Widow. No unmasked Cap. No Maria Hill. No Coulson. I could go on; this line shouldn’t be over. Anyway, let’s wrap things up, hopefully for now.
After Vault snagged Loki coming home from a convention five hours away, and After I snagged a Hulk on a business trip three hours away, all that was left was little Hawkeye. I never thought I’d want a Hawkeye so bad, but between the movie and the hunt, things got crazy.
Only one Wal-Mart within an hour carried 6" Avengers figures. It was about half-an-hour away and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t waste a bit of gas hitting up that Walmart repeatedly. Sadly, only two of my Avengers figures even came from there. Toy hunting is such a blast...
Today, Noisy and I are going to take a closer look at some of our favorite non-Mattel lines featured at San Diego Comic-Con. I’ve got some quick write-ups on Transformers, Star Wars, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, while Noisy will explore the Marvel Universe and Marvel Legends offerings!
I’ve wanted to do some Avengers reviews, but there’s been one big problem. Finding them. I’ve been to Walmarts hours from here and have very little to show for it. I did manage to snag a leftover Thor on one run, but his photo shoot didn’t exactly go as planned. Snap.
After a few weeks of hunting, I’d given up on finding the six inch movie Avengers figures around my area, and I was mostly right. Luckily we were out of town for a comic book convention, and I happened across a few of the figures.
One is a former love interest of Tony Stark, heir to a powerful east coast crime organization, and hides her scarred face behind a golden mask. The other was the leader of another powerful criminal operation, fights Captain America, and likes the color green. One odd couple for a review, huh?
