Probably one of the most unexpected figures in the Masters of the Universe Classics line has to be Horde Prime. Since he never had much of a tangible body in the Filmation series, it seemed unlikely. But the 4H and Matty found a way. 
After writing up Spector’s review, I thought I was good to go on having to write about “controversial” MOTU figures for awhile. Well, silly me, I forgot about June’s Snake Man-At-Arms. Though he was slammed as soon as he debuted, Snake Man-At-Arms is actually a huge win for collectors.
We’re playing the MOTU catch-up game this week in order to get through the box full of figures that Matty shipped us for June. So before we dig into those goodies, I need to get the last May figure out of the way: Stinkor!
This has been a difficult Masters of the Universe Classics review for me, as the differences of opinion on Spector have been difficult to navigate. I enjoy the figure and I'm going to say so, but I’d also like the figure to be better and I'm going to say that too.
Mattel revealed two more MOTU Classics Bios yesterday with packaging reveals for July’s Spikor and August’s Sir Laser-Lot. Spikor gave Mattel an interesting opportunity to provide back story to a relatively clean-slate vintage character, but it was Sir Laser-Lot’s bio that snagged the fan’s attention. 
Even though I'd never seen the space He-Man cartoon, I do remember looking through the toys at Kaybee. The two that intrigued me the most were Optikk and Slush Head. Guess I wasn’t alone since those were the first two villains Matty chose.
Mattycollector announced another upcoming MOTU Classic via a “sneak peek” e-mail to Club Eternia members. I was again left off the mailing list, but it didn’t take long for news of Dragon Blaster Skeletor to make his way to me. I gotta tell you though, I'm not in love with it.
