We should all love Kickstarter. It’s a great service that connects folks with ideas with people willing to invest of them. I’ve invested in a few Kickstarter projects, but the one I’m happiest with is the one I’ll be reviewing today: Outlandish Mini Figure Guys (or OMFG! for short) Series One.
We’re kicking off Review-A-Palooza with a review I’ve wanted to get to for awhile, the DRT Warp Bikes from Rawshark Studios. These figure and bike sets were released in late 2011 and defined a new “high end” for Glyos-based product. I ordered one and quickly discovered I had to have both.
Over the weekend, Spy Monkey Creations officially unveiled their all-new weapons lineup for 2012 featuring Glyos compatibility. While the new swag won’t be on sale until February 3rd, the gang over at Spy Monkey Creations was kind enough to send a set of SMC Armory Series 1 our way for review.
One of my more anticipated announcements for 2012 (even though I’d be unable to attend) was whether or not the Four Horsemen would be putting together a second Toypocalypse show. Even though I can’t be there, I’m already excited for a slew of cool pics and hopefully an exclusive or two.
I was hoping this Christmas would see another release of OSM with vac-metal accessories. I loved the 2010 set and was excited at the prospect of Waves 3 and 4, with their much cooler weapons cache, getting the same treatment. The Horsemen didn’t disappoint, but... lavender & turquoise? Who knew?!
Updated 12/13! Last summer, the folks over at Spy Monkey Creations put their storefront on hold while they made plans to retool their product line and expand their operation for 2012. As the New Year draws nearer, some teases for 2012 are starting to pop on the Spy Monkey Blog...
For today’s Glyos Thursday feature, I’m going back a bit and taking a look at one of the first Glyos figures I ever purchased, the Gobon! A favorite of both me and my wife, the Gobon was also one of the first Glyos figures that I happily purchased in multiple colorways.
