S.T.R.I.P.E. Week rolls on, but today I’m jumping ahead, oh… a few decades to a young member of the modern JSA. One of the things I enjoyed most about the late 90s DC offerings was the return of the Justice Society of America and its newest member Courtney Whitmore, a.k.a. Stargirl.
While I enjoyed DCUC18, I’m still of the mindset that DCUC19, with its JSA theme, was a bastion of greatness in an otherwise dull year for DC Classics. Sandwiched between a wave of Geoff Johns’ Rainbow Deputies and Brightest Day figures, the classic characters featured here were a 2011 bright spot.
If you’re like me and were unable to attend the Four Horsemen’s Toypocalypse 2: Futuretro Gallery earlier this month, then you also missed out on a set of exclusive Outer Space Men figures. Luckily, this set, featuring new color schemes by the legendary Mel Birnkrant, is making its way to StoreHorsemen.
It appears we’re actually going to have a complete Terrax to review eventually, but it is slow going getting there. Noisy’s still looking for a blue Ghost Rider, but our biggest obstacles are the characters neither of us really want... Enter Klaw!
With Marvel Legends returning, a new Cap figure was as inevitable as the Thor & Iron Man that we’ve already reviewed. I was pretty happy when I found out Hasbro had elected to do a recent look for Steve, when he wasn't Captain America, but rather Steve Rogers, Director of S.H.I.E.L.D..
There was plenty to look forward to, but it’s back to business as usual after our exciting Toy Fair weekend. I’m kicking off this week’s reviews with a figure I just got in the mail, Revoltech Yamaguchi’s Alucard from Hellsing. ONE TWO THREE FOUR FIVE SIX
