Shocking News: The Marvel Universe Checklist has been Updated!

Some said it would never happen! Others held out hope!

I’m not sure where I’ve fallen on that camp for the last couple years (and it has been years) when it came to the MU Checklist. I enjoyed the line well enough, but after ML came back, I was torn. It also didn’t help that it was particularly difficult to update. MOTU? One figure a month. DCUC? A set wave, no problem. But Marvel? Mixed cases. Variant releases. Store exclusives. Running changes. It was enough to drive me crazy!

So it fell behind and the e-mails piled up. I’ve heard your comments and have finally had time to answer them: the checklist is updated through the first of this year. Many of the missing pictures have been added, cancelled figures have been removed, the style of the checklist changed to represent the latest incarnation, and the most recent figures are included. It has taken weeks! But we’re caught up! I apologize that it took so long. Hopefully, I won’t have to repeat all this in 2018.

Thanks again to all that contacted me over this checklist. I can’t tell you enough how much that helps motivate me. If you e-mailed, facebooked, tweeted, or even asked me in person at Target – this is for you. It did take it awhile, but that’s what kept it alive. Thank you.

  1. The Steve Rogers Super Soldier figure was released in 2011 so the one in the 2014 wave should be labeled a reissue. Had me worried I missed a new release because I could swear I bought that figure long before we bought our house a couple years ago.

  2. Buy for a young cuz so helps alot and the Antman wave was skipped here atleast looks that way. Many of these i hope get Legends scaled.

  3. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I’ve been hoping for an update to this checklist for more than a year, probably. I love your site and I love your work, and I’m so grateful to have such a solid, well-presented resources for the MU 4″ scale. Keep up the fantastic work! Much appreciated.

  4. Ready for the Avengers: Age of Ultron stuff? Because it’s starting to show in stores ALREADY. Yeesh.

And Hasbro…man, what the heck. First they boned us with the crappy Iron Man 3 toys, then there was the half-assed Thor 2 release, THEN the nonsense of the tiny scale Guardians of the Galaxy stuff, and NOW…

The Age of Ultron figures are even more strange. There’s a line of 3.75 inch figures with the reduced paint apps of Iron Man 3 as well as significantly fewer joints (yet still ten bucks), AND a micro-size line that is a DIFFERENT SCALE from the GotG mini figs!

grrrr. Oh, again, excellent work on the lists, Noisy. Given the spotty release of all the different figures (as you mention in passing in the intro above) maybe this is a list that would benefit from ‘crowd sourcing’, feeding you details on the stuff you haven’t found. Agents of NOISY if you will. 🙂

It’s like they just don’t care anymore.

    1. We’ll get back to reviews soon enough. The checklists were seriously out of date and are more than half the sites traffic, so best to tune them up before I start up the review engine!

  5. Very good list ! Thnak you all !
But I still miss the Avengers movie, Avengers Assemble and Thor 2 lines …
