War Machine comes with a load of accessories. First off are his shoulder mounted weapons. There’s the Gatling gun and its bandolier. He also has two missile batteries, one for each side, and the Hammer tech “Ex-wife” missile launcher (for whatever good that is…) that replace his shoulder pads.
War Machine’s most surprising accessories are the machine guns on his forearms. I expected the figure to have them, but I didn’t expect them to be detachable. Each is attached to his armor by two clamps on hinges and can be removed for when he’s out of ammo.
WM also has three sets of alternate hands: fists, open fingers spread, and open fingers closed.
Lastly, Rhodey also comes with a few effects parts. His two arm-mounted machine guns and Gatling gun are given firing effects that plug in. He also has rocket effects for his feet and calf thrusters. All these pieces look fantastic with the figure; I just wish they also included missile and “Ex-wife” effects parts too.
This is my favorite movie War Machine figure to date. He’s a little short for Marvel Legends scale, but he’ll fit in perfectly with my other Japanese five inch figures and hopefully the upcoming Figma Avengers. And if I’m really lucky, maybe this’ll be the last War Machine I’ll feel the need to buy for a long long time.
