OctoberToys.com OMFG!
Series One Exclusive Pre-Orders

In case you missed it between feasting on turkey and shopping, some cool new toys went up for pre-order this weekend. While we’re still waiting on the regular versions, three of the four exclusive OMFG! – Outlandish Mini Figure Guys! – colorways are now available for pre-order.

If you’re unfamiliar, OMFG! is a Kickstarter project that aimed to create a new collectible mini figure line in the vein of M.U.S.C.L.E. & Monsters in my Pocket. The line spawned from the cabal of great minds over at October Toys & Toy Break.

The Kickstarter Project, which was funded back in August, gave backers the opportunity to pledge funds for future sets of the first wave of OMFG! in flesh and/or black (black is a Kickstarter exclusive) colorways. That first wave consists of five fan-voted designs:

From left to right:

  1. Stroll designed by John “Spanky” Stokes from California & sculpted by George Gaspar from California
  2. Multiskull designed & sculpted by Charles Marsh (aka Monsterforge) from South Carolina
  3. King Castor designed & sculpted by Dominic Campisi (aka The Evil Earwig) from California
  4. Phantom Outhouse designed by Kyle Thye from Iowa & sculpted by Ralph Niese from Germany
  5. Crawdad Kid designed & sculpted by Daniel Yu (aka Dory) from Singapore

While the Flesh colorway will be available for order soon at October Toys, four backers each picked up an exclusive colorway for their respective sites and three of those are available for pre-order now.

First up is a set from Onell Design, cast in a “Pheyden Blue”. This set is available in the Onell Store for $12 plus shipping and is scheduled to ship in early December.

Also, make sure to hit up the Onell Design Blog to see more images of their colorway as well as a short Passcode game and online comic featuring the OMFG! characters!

Next up is a set bright yellow set for pre-order from the University of M.U.S.C.L.E.. This set retails for $15 plus shipping.

Also up for pre-order is the Little Rubber Guys exclusive green colorway. This set also retails for $15 plus shipping.

The last colorway, a bright blue from Rotofugi, isn’t available online yet, but should be in the near future.

Okay, so that’s the skinny. We’re pretty excited for these little guys, so we thought we’d pass along the news before any of the colorways sold out so you can pick up your favorite (or be like us – go crazy and order one of each). Look for reviews & pics of these guys here at IAT as soon they reach us! Until then, keep an eye on the October Toys Forum for the latest news!

Here again is a quick recap of the available colors:

    1. The problem I had (and didn’t resolve well because I’ve secured all but the Rotofugi set 😀 ) is that I find myself more drawn to the non-flesh colors, but flesh IS so classic!

I do really love the Pheyden Blue though.

Another awesome thing though is painted versions (which would be a DIY project):

      1. That is freaking awesome, and I don’t use that word often. When I tried painting some of my M.U.S.C.L.E. figures back in the 1990s, it didn’t turn out well. Some of the paint went all gummy and smeary and rubbed off. Ick.

    1. LOL I think that may be Matt having his logistical ducks in a row. I’m curious to see what Rotofugi does since they’re the other ready-to-go online store in the mix.

    1. Each of the four $1000 backers got to choose their own colors, so I don’t think it could be helped.

I love the Pheyden blue, but I’m happy about the bright Rotofugi blue too. If we can ever get these guys in red with the three vibrant colorways it’d make a sweet quartet.

  1. I guess they’re different enough, but kinda surprising no one chose red or something that would stand out more.

Speaking of color choices, the MotU fan in me wouldn’t mind seeing King Castor in “Grayskull Green”. 😉

    1. Did you follow the link to Little Rubber Guys, Lay Ze?

I agree on the red. Hopefully the folks at October Toys can work a red set in at some point if it’s logistically possible. I can’t say I’d change the colors we did get though. I love Matt’s Pheyden blue a ton, but if that red ever did come it, it would need to the Rotofugi blue to make a good set of four with the yellow and green.

  2. Purple! And I suspect we’ll see translucents at some point. I’m kinda kicking myself for not jumping in at the $1,000 level. I considered it but decided not to because I just don’t have the time to deal with selling things.

  3. Wow. It’s like people are determined to bring back every toy property from the 1980s. So my only question is, when are Food Fighters, Army Ants, and Barnyard Commandos making a return? };D

  4. I cant wait to get my flesh and black sets. Cant decide if I want the other colors. Might get onells set, to support Matt, he and is wife are such great people.
