I’ve wanted to do some Avengers reviews, but there’s been one big problem. Finding them. I’ve been to Walmarts hours from here and have very little to show for it. I did manage to snag a leftover Thor on one run, but his photo shoot didn’t exactly go as planned. Snap.
After a few weeks of hunting, I’d given up on finding the six inch movie Avengers figures around my area, and I was mostly right. Luckily we were out of town for a comic book convention, and I happened across a few of the figures.
One is a former love interest of Tony Stark, heir to a powerful east coast crime organization, and hides her scarred face behind a golden mask. The other was the leader of another powerful criminal operation, fights Captain America, and likes the color green. One odd couple for a review, huh?
I’m back! Vacation was awesome, but not being in front of my computer all week was a challenge! You know what the plan was for 2012? Spend less money at retail. Limit the impulse purchases. Try to budget in a Hot Toys figure or two. You know what blew that to hell? Marvel Legends. One, cause they’re awesome. Two, because they released two waves on top of one another!
With 6” Marvel figures only trickling out in recent years, it seemed like the toyline of the early 2000s was deep in slumber. The behemoth is awake now. I know because I just bought some figures I didn’t want to build-a-figure I knew nothing about. That’s the power of Marvel Legends.
I know we’d need a Thing Review to be a proper Two-In-One, but let’s overlook that and have some fun, alright?
