I found this review particularly difficult to write. Some figures you love right away, some figures make you love them, some figures just fill out the shelf a bit (or came with a critical C&C piece), and some figures you buy only because you maintain a DC Universe Classics Checklist. These guys are the last two.
As last week was drifting into the weekend, we got a few news tidbits from Mattel. First was the update to tomorrow's Mad Monday sale that we reported on previously and then came our first look at the biographies for the two MOTU Classics figures shipping in September: Leech & Hurricane Hordak. 
Last year, IAT held it's 2010 Most Requested figure contest. Last year's winner was none other than "Blonde Bikini" Teela. Released under the less hilarious, but more appropriate Battleground Teela moniker, she's quickly moved from our wish lists to our shelves as June's Quarterly MOTU figure.
Here I was minding my own business on Twitter today when I saw a strange tweet beaming out of the Mattel offices. They're announcing a new Mattycollector program, purposely light on details, called "Mad Matty Mondays". It sounds like a great deal, if only you knew what you were buying...
In Costume Consensus, we poll our readers about which costumes they’d prefer to buy when their favorite characters are finally turned into action figures. Instead of costume design, this time we’re focusing on the many color choices presented over the years by Masters of the Universe character Ram Man.
I love getting the non-traditional characters in the MOTU Classics line. So June was actually a pretty exciting month for me. Not only were we able to pick up Teela in here non-canon DC Comics barbarian swimsuit look, but we also got an original 200X character with The Faceless One. 
Some of the new figures I've been eagerly awaiting this year are from Hasbro's Marvel Universe line. After resisting for a few years, the line's character selection has come back around and hit me upside the head. MU's Wave Thirteen included a couple figures that I wanted, particularly Cable.
