The GIJCC has released images of three of the FSS 3.0 figure so far! My excitement starts high on the left and wanes as we go right, but there are still plenty of reveals to go. I’m still on the fence if I want to continue for a third year. The promise of that mystery figure usually does me in, but that samepaint of Sgt. Flash really burned me earlier this year. Looks like I have until the end of this month to decide, the ordering details are included below.

You can now place your pre-order for the GIJCC FSS 3.0! The order period ends July 1st, 2014. We will build this set to your order. You will have until that time to process your order. Over the next few weeks we will be showing all of the figures (except the mystery 13th figure), so that they will all be online before the order period ends. The cost of the subscription will be $315 if paid in full, or $105 per installment (3x) plus the online service charge for each billing.

Currently we anticipate that the first figures will ship in late October, but that is still TBD until we receive the final schedule from the manufacturer. When the shipment arrives, we will publish the two dates for the second and third installments. Please let us know if you have any questions.

The FSS 3.0 subscription set will consist of twelve different carded 3 3/4″ figures. You will receive six shipments starting in approximately October/November of two figures each month. Figures will be shipped in a surprise sequence (figure pairs will be the same for everyone each month). It will be a surprise each month as to which figure pair you receive!

Your last shipment (6th shipment) will include your mystery carded 13th figure!

First Three Reveals!

  1. Alpine and Night Creeper leader don’t really look like their vintage figures.
The way Hasbro are handling G.I. Joe (especially in the UK) has really made me loose a lot of interest in the property. I really dislike the 25th style bodies and construction and the changing of the peg sizes for the vehicles.
Hasbro need to do a full 360 on the line and get a new buck for the line with better symmetry, proportions and articulation. Even if they went 6” and did a less articulated 4” line for the vehicles. And hopefully stop releasing so many useless variants of the characters, Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow especially.

    1. Hear, hear! Up to our ears in Snake Eyeses and Storm Shadows, but Jinx in her classic red get-up was impossible to get. This is why I pretty much gave up on G.I. Joe. Now, if they re-released the Thunder Machine, STUN, and Night Raven SP3, I’d be there in a heartbeat.

      1. I don’t want to go into a big G.I. Joe rant but I have been discussing it lately with some friends.
I would love the vehicles you mention to be re-released along with the MBT Mauler and a few other but I personally would prefer them to be left unaltered so they could still better interact with the vintage and early 2000’s figures with the original pegs etc unaltered.
I got the reissue of the Skystriker and with the double cock-pit, missing ejection seats and parachutes gone it was just nowhere near as good or fun as the original.
If Hasbro can ever revive the Joe brand successfully I would love them to stick to just a small group as they were originally conceived in the comics and the Renegades cartoon.

  2. Spearhead & Max look awesome. They’re on my must have list along with Muskrat, Repeater, and Hit & Run since I’m a huge fan of these 1988 recruits. I never cared at all for the original Psyche-Out as a figure but I’ve grown to appreciate him as a character. I’m also looking forward to Big Ben and the Crimson Guard Immortal. I want Bombstrike because there aren’t enough female figures and she does look good. And since I have Dice, his partner Slice is also a given.

I don’t really need the second version of Alpine since the classic 25th anniversary figure took me so long to find. Vypra is nothing more than a Jinx repaint to me and I never liked Jinx to begin with. I was curious about the Night Creeper Leader long as he was in his original tiger stripe colors, but this 1994 homage does nothing for me.

So that makes it 9 yeas versus 3 nays. …Looks like I’m signing up for a third year. Let’s hope the club doesn’t disappoint me with the remaining reveals! Fingers crossed on the mystery 13th figure once again.
