On the off-chance it's not obvious, we are experiencing some technical difficulties today. Tables & Galleries may come and go throughout the afternoon and evening as we work around it.
Some site formatting will be similarly affected (like this very handy blank column). It's lovely and functional!
Wish us luck...
I guess we’ve gone mainstream!
A little less that and a little more that the idea occurred to me and I had to see if I could do it! 😀
I’m all for topical humor. IAT’s best jokes are the ones that point out an obvious flaw to the toy the companies should have caught.
I love it! I don’t know where you got the pic of the LeBron toy, but it looks like the real deal.
I know it’s Spawn’s Lebron number 47 or whatever.
It’s McF’s promo pic for him. It looked a little too realistic to use, but it was the best one available.
I’m a lifelong NE Ohioan and the past few months have been agony….the last few days have been BRUTAL.
I don’t think people that aren’t from Cleveland will understand what this means or why it’s such a big deal. We are the perpetual underdogs….as a city, as a people, we have suffered SO much. We’ve been the butt of national jokes as long as I can remember and the city is an empty shell of what it once was. Cleveland has not been a happy place for a long time.
LeBron changed things…he really did. We FINALLY had something or someone we could be proud of, other than Drew Carey. We had something other people WANTED.
He choked in the playoffs. Worse than that…he GAVE UP. He simply shrugged his shoulders and gave up. That hurt. But not as much as this disgusting circus he’s created.
If he leaves….our city is FINISHED. Just gutted. The economy of the city DEPENDS on him. The Cavs may as well lock the doors to the Q and throw away the key. Cause why should we care? Why should anyone care about a team that wasn’t good enough for our STAR player, our hometown hero to care about? If he doesn’t give a crap, why should we? If he leaves, I’m never watching another Cavs game. The team will fold within five years without him anyway.
Cleveland has never won anything….we have the distinct honor of having the most spectacular FAILURES in crucial moments in all of sports. The Drive. The Shot. Red Right 88. The 9th inning blowout that lost the World Series in 1997. We come so close to reversing our curse, and then it blows up in our face. THE DECISION could be the one that finally kills our spirit once and for all.
If LeBron leaves…I just won’t be able to take that kind of heartbreak.
Sorry for the rant…but I’m going crazy and I needed to vent!
I hope he does the right thing…I’ll never forgive him for betraying us if he leaves.
Let it out, man! Let it out! 😀
Ohio and/or Cleveland being the butt of national jokes for years?
I got two words for ya.
NEW JERSEY
wah wah wah waaaaaaaaah
(what do I care? I’m a Michigander. We have to endure Detroit)
Governor Patterson? Is that you?
As for endure, IAT is in Missouri and I’m a lifelong Royals fan. Whew…
*in specific, the SNL version of Patterson.
NEW JERSEY!
*hehehehehehehehehe*
The mayors appear to be sitting on some very evil looking seats.
Wouldja believe they’re from the Nautilus? 😀
On a side note, Shaq’s been thinking about going to my team, the Spurs!
Sweet! Are NBA stars more apt to switch around and just try out different organizations? It doesn’t seem like that happens much in the other sports or maybe I’m not watching closely enough.
See? Not having a signature Pizza didn’t hurt Miami after all. 😉
Aw, geez! Like I don’t read enough about this on Facebook (I live in Miami, sorry Josh), you guys are talking about it, too?!
Sorry. The idea struck me and my photoshopped skills were challenged…
I don’t even really follow basketball. LOL
Nice job, BTW.
I don’t care for basketball (or most sports, actually), but that’s all everyone here is talking about. It’s driving me nuts! FYI, New York style pizza is really popular down here. Personally, I love all pizza, even when it’s bad, it’s still good! Hahaha!
I’m eating pizza right now… 😀
LMAO! Nice, 🙂
Can’t really put into words hot gutted I feel right now.
Almost feels like someone died. I keep replaying it over and over in my head, when the words “South Beach” came out of his mouth….just didn’t feel real.
His actions have hurt a lot of people directly, from an economic stand-point. He literally was one of the last things keeping the night-life industry in downtown Cleveland alive….
But on a personal level…it’s like he kicked us in the gut, and while we on the ground gasping for air he took a big old Cleveland Steamer right in our mouths.
Maybe that comes close to describing how the tragically cursed people of NE Ohio feel right now.
Sorry, Josh. Have you read the Dan Gilbert letter? What’re your thoughts on that?
I think he’ll probably regret it in the morning….but it was actually a small comfort when we needed it. He said what we were all feeling at the time. Do I think the LeBron-less Cavs have a snowball’s chance? Not at all….but there is a small feeling of pride knowing that we’ll keep going despite how hopeless our situation is.
One thing Clevelanders have had to accept over these long hard years….we are the best at ONE thing…..we are always first place when it comes to colossal failure!! And yet we keep standing up, dust ourselves off, and we get ready to take some more!
Yeah, it sounded like an e-mail that you had to write out, but then maybe not send. If it helps Cavsfan deal with it, then it’s good in that respect though.
As a Royals fan, I know some team heartbreak and I know what it’s like to watch every good player leave. But I never had one of my players have an hour special on ESPN to announce he’s leaving…
see, if Cleveland had a soul, the whole point of their existance at this point should be completely decimating wherever Lebron ends up… like, making him look like a complete waste of time. Devalue him till he’s embarassed he ever left. We in detroit learned a long time ago… you can burn a lloooonnnnggggg time on revernge. 😉
Amusing comic. I like it.
That said, I honestly can’t believe people care about this stuff. If the only thing Cleveland has going for it (and I mean other than sports) is Lebron James, then they’ve got a lot more to worry about than losing a frickin’ basketball player.
hey great information your site contains will return when I have time to read more.
