With the not so great news coming out about Ghostbusters Classics like the cancellation of the Ecto-1 subscription and the $8 blowout (but not sellout), it doesn’t feel like the greatest time to be a Ghostbusters collector. Still, I picked up Slimeblower Ray, but he did little to cheer me up.
We’ve put the IAT Forums under the knife and carved out two new message boards! The Marvel discussion was filling up our Hubtalk forum, so we’ve given Marvel Toys its own home. We’ve also added a forum for all our favorite emergent toy companies: Onell, 3A, Four Horsemen Design, & More!
Reminding us that the “rebranding” of the DC Universe Classics line is coming all too soon, Mattel has announced the names and shown the first images of initial wave of the new line. I’m not trying to be negative, but I’m not that impressed, by the name or the character selection.
It wasn’t that long ago that convention exclusives were a rare commodity. These days, collectors have to plan for multiple exclusives from multiple shows. It kinda sucks, but I do enjoy when we get cool toys for our trouble. Case in point: the NYCC 2011 Exclusive Beta Phase Outer Space Men.
