News:

All information below was gathered from Mattel press releases or statements made by Mattel employees. It is reprinted below for easy access and is subject to change at any time. Older news may already be out-of-date.

9/01/09 - Zoar's perch will not be included with Teela, but is in the long term plans.

8/11/09 - The subscription bonus poster will also feature "secrets of the Power of Grayskull and the Elders" printed on the reverse. These will be never before revealed secrets to help complete the storyline behind MOTU Classics for the true fans. There may be a few other bonus items thrown in during the year for members only such as coupons and other "MOTU schwag".

8/9/09 - Mattel has encountered difficulty combining the hyper-articulation of a modern figure with the flocking on Moss Man. He may be delayed to April while Mattel sorts out a compromise between the articulation and the flocking. The April release will be moved up to March if needed.

8/4/09 - On Facebook, Matty has confirmed that King Grayskull will see a regular release. He will be on a standard card with a new bio.

8/4/09 - Reissued figures will have a yellow starburst that says "The Original" to distinguish them from the original release.

8/1/09 - The 2010 subscription, now being called the Eternia Fan Club is on sale at MattyCollector.com until August 14th 12pm EST. There is a $20 sign-up fee for the 2010 subscription. In exchange for the sign-up fee, fans will receive one (1) Wun-Dar figure and one (1) poster-size Map of Eternia per subscription in addition to having the regular releases shipped to them monthly. The option to have them shipped as one large batch in December is not being offered for the 2010 subscription. Rereleases, repaints, and bonus figures are not included in the subscription.

7/24/09 - The line is doing well enough that Mattel will look into doing original sculpts of characters that can't be used (like Ram-Man).

7/24/09 - Bonus figures will be at various price points and include some large scale beasts and army builder 2pks in addition to reissues and repaints.

7/24/09 - Orko is coming in 2010. Gwildor is a possibility.

7/24/09 - Mattel will begin releasing accessory packs, one per season.

7/18/09 - The release of He-Man may be pushed back from October to November. The packaging will be changed to indicate a rerelease. Figures are not intended to be changed in anyway, but will be corrected if something on the first figure was considered an error. The second release of He-Man will have corrected shoulders and less red around the eyes. The second release of Skeletor will have the correct grasping right hand.
