I’m just not old enough for Mego action figures. At times, I can almost catch a glimpse of that retro vibe that seemingly permeates them for others, but overall, it’s just hard to be interested. In fairness, I’ve never really had one – I have a Spidey in storage somewhere with no sleeves. I do have Mattel’s Martian Manhunter, though I never got around to opening him. I did snag some Famous Covers & Hasbro’s handful of DC figures from their late 90s attempt. But it’s just not something I get excited about – I simply blame being in my early 30s instead of my late 30s. <\/p>\n

So when Figure Toy Company geared up their Classic TV Batman<\/a> line, I was aware, but not piqued. Batman, Robin, Riddler, Joker, Penguin, Bruce & Dick… they looked find for the folks that are into the sorta thing. They did get me to notice with Egghead though. That’s cool. I do love when characters that should’ve always had toys finally get them and ’66 Batman Rogues are very deserving in that regard. <\/p>\n

Last month, Figures Toy Company doubled down on that awesome with Wave 3. Batman & Robin with new head sculpts, all good yeah… but Mad Hatter? And Shame! That’s awesome. It almost makes my blackened heart grow two sizes too big for these guys. I’d still rather have them as modern figures, but these are still damn cool. Is it weird if I just collected Egghead, Mad Hatter, Shame… and hope for King Tut, Bookworm, & *gasp* False-Face?!? <\/p>\n

Based on the classic 1966 Batman television series, the Batman ’66 Retro Action Figures will have you shouting “Bif!” “Bang!” and “Pow!” These retro-styled figures are in a larger size with real cloth costumes, and their articulation cannot be beat. Batman (new head sculpt), Robin (removable cowl), Shame, and Mad Hatter all resemble their television counterparts, and they come in retro clamshell packaging. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n
