He carries a trident spear gun and a saber axe as well as two huge mechanical tentacles for grabbing and crushing his foes. As a petty thug and pickpocket, Kalamarr bounced in and out of Prison Starr throughout his youth. Just when he began getting his life in order, Skeletor arrived on his quest to overthrow the Horde Empire. The promise of riches and power were enough to sway this mutant moron and goon squad member to Skeletor’s evil ways.

And the Mighty Spector is similarly May-intended:

Mighty Spector – Heroic Master of Time Travel, Real Name: John Spector
After Skeletor banished King Randor to Despondos, he seized his rightful throne and dismantled the Eternian Palace Guards. Loyal to Marlena and the Royal Household, Lt. Spector was cut off from the rest of the Masters of the Universe when he was thrown into a time portal and flung into the future. In this new time, he served King He-Man and was given a special suit reverse engineered from the Cosmic Key. Using its powers, Spector could travel into time, fighting for the Royal Family as their agent throughout Eternia’s history. Spector uses his Vortex Suit to turn the tide in battle, loyally serving the King and Queen of Eternia.

Calendar Note: May is shaping up to be a three figure month: Spector, Slush Head, and Stinkor.

Here are some notes about the figures from Mattel:

Both Slushhead and The Mighty Spector will be available in May only on Mattycollector.com!

[Slush Head’s] claw arms are not bendy but are articulated at the claws.

Slushhead’s bio is mostly a pick up from his vintage cardback with minor needed tweaks. He will be available in May 2012 as part of the Club Eternia Subscription along with Stinkor (there is no April basic Club figure, only the A list variant of TP He-Man and 30th fig Draego Man). Additional day-of stock will be available for non sub holders.

[Spector’s] pack out has been adjusted slightly so his head is turned a bit more center. About a 1/3rd turn, not a 1/2 as pictured.

The secret origins of The Mighty Spector – at long last revealed. Spector is part of the 30th anniversary sub and will ship in May 2012 only on Mattycollector.com. Additional limited day-of stock will be available for non sub holders.

I like Slush Head’s bio more than most. Sure, it’s blocky, but it embues him with character traits that I can appreciate. I’ve barely scratched the surface with New Adventures, but this is a highly anticipated figure for me!

I also like Spector’s bio too. Though, shouldn’t it be King Adam? Does everyone know the secret by then or did they ‘stage’ a coup? “That layabout Adam is good for nothing! He can’t be King!”. I’m not sure about the random time portal, but an Orger suggested it could have something to do with Evil Lyn opening them left and right around that timeframe (to send her baby and her self to the future). Anyway, I like the bio and, yes, I’m looking forward to Spector too. I wish the design had a better color scheme, but the role he plays really appeals to me. There are a couple lingering questions from that bio though… are we talking Queen Teela? And are King He-Man & Queen Teela figures that Mattel should look into?

These bios have been added to our Sortable/Searchable Bio Page at MOTUClassics.Com. That page features an organized table of all the MOTU Classics bios with a nifty search feature. For example, if you type in “Zalesia”, the page will show you just the bios that mention the fabled city specifically. Go try it out!

Mattel gave us another double dose of Masters of the Universe Classics Bio goodness today with packaging reveals for the Mighty Spector and the scaly NA goon Slush Head.
