introduced him way back in September 2006 (I also can’t believe it’s been five years already!). He was written so perfectly as a spoiled and arrogant brat that most people hated him. Even Grant would later admit that he was going to end up dead by the end of the series.

<a others. But unlike his father he had a penchant for brutally violent takedowns and insulting the other heroes around.

<a but his relationship with Damian was that of a big brother rather than a strict father. They’d bicker like siblings, but at the end of the day both Dick and Damian would risk their lives for each other. I strongly suggest checking out Morrison’s Batman and Robin, and the issues he crossed over with the Supergirl and Batgirl books for the best Damian stories out there.

<img decoding="async" loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-14134" the new focus on more modern top tier characters, I’m assuming Mattel’s new DC line will fit one in eventually. Since this is DC Direct, this figure’s look is spot on. Not greens. This is especially noticeable around his mask, but you can also see it on his boots under closer inspection. Something I found interesting is that his gloves are a lighter green than his wrist guards. I thought this was a mistake at first, but then I noticed his knuckles have pads that are colored with the darker armored green. That’s just one of those nice head can only look side to side and down, while his shoulders won’t allow his arms to hang straight down. His elbows and knees are hinges, while his wrists and waist and hips are swivels. He would move so much better with the addition of swivel biceps and hinged ankles. As is, action shots are near impossible and he looks best just standing there.

<a
