September DC Comics Relaunch
(Sortable Solicitations Checklist)

I know we’re primarily a toy site, buy would you believe the guys behind DCClassics.Com are lifelong DC Comics fans? We’ve had quite the week as the Relaunch Announcements have been rolling out. There’s a lot of information to process and I simply had to toss it into one of our Sortable Checklists to figure it all out.

This checklist works just like our Sortable Checklists for DC Universe Classics and the Marvel Universe toy line. It contains the solicits for all 52 September books and you can play around with it in two ways. Each column is sortable, so you can order the books alphabetically, by release date, price, etc. The niftier feature, in my opinion, is that you can type a term in the search box and the checklist will reduce itself to the entries containing the search terms. For example, if you type in Geoff Johns, the list will reduce to Justice League, Green Lantern, & Aquaman – the three titles he’s writing in September. If you’re looking to follow certain characters or creators, this will be an easy way to find out where to look for them.

  1. I agree with Nimbus.

It’s neat that we’re getting Suiside Squad. But we’re loosing Secret Six? Boooo.

  2. Wow, thanks so much for putting this together. I’m actually interested in some of these, but I remain skeptical.

  3. Some of the costume redesigns–like Deathstroke–scream “trying too hard.” I do like the cover art for Catwoman #1, though.

  4. jeez, you’d think that a guy like batman, with such a rich, fleshed out mythos, could get some real representation in this relaunch… instead, they treat him like the black sheep. sheesh! :O

  5. Right on. A Who’s Who. Thanks for putting this together.

  6. SWEET! This has to be the most organized check-list of the DC revamp I’ve seen, thanks! I’m liking the new(much needed in IMO) costume designs except for Black Canary and Superboy wearing gloves. The title Stormwatch is the one I’m looking forward to the most, can’t wait to see how Wildstorm characters mesh in the DCU.

  7. I agree that you should do this every month. it is very cool. that said, I’m reeeally not looking forward to years of stories and character development being thrown out the window. ‘meet Supergirl’? already met her. I don’t mind the re-numbering. I just think that something like this should make sense in the context of progressive storytelling.

  8. Still very unsure about thsi relaunch. I want to think it will be ok but sometimes I see a sign that gives me trepidation (Liefield for instance) and my negitivity comes back. I suppose the only way to see it through is to wait and see.

  9. Hey Noisy just letting you know bleeding cool has the covers for Red Lanterns, GLC, and The New Guardians……..still no main GL cover.

  10. Thanks for this list, Noisy. Nice to have all this info available at a glance. That being said, I’m less than thrilled about this relaunch. Do we really need yet another reboot of the Legion? I wonder how long before DC returns to their old numbering, and writes off the reboot stories as yet another of the Multiple Earths…

  11. Nice list…thanks for doing it! But what happened to ‘drawing the line at 2.99?’ Justice League # 1 is 3.99!!!
