buying a Transformer was a rare occasion for me.\u00a0 But now things are heading towards the other extreme and I seem to always have a backlog waiting to be reviewed.\u00a0 So I thought I\u2019d make a mini-theme week with a repaint review of my own.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>While I\u2019ve intentionally been collecting variants to TF Prime\u2019s First Edition Starscream mold, I\u2019ve also been accidentally collecting Wheeljack\u2019s doubles.\u00a0 Wheeljack was an easy purchase because I wanted to complete the team.\u00a0 Dead End was an awesomely hideous repaint, which I definitely have a soft spot for.\u00a0 (Just ask Halloween Skeletor!)\u00a0 But when it came to Wildrider, he just looked too cool not to buy.\u00a0 So I guess I just love this mold too.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.itsalltrue.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/wrid1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-22992\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.itsalltrue.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/wrid1.jpg?resize=640%2C480\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" addition of Wildrider to my Prime shelf, I\u2019ve also come to the realization that I have three fifths of the Stunticons.\u00a0 While I don\u2019t think these figures will ever combine into a decent Menasor, I do feel the need to pick up Drag Strip and Motormaster if they\u2019re ever made.\u00a0 It probably wouldn\u2019t be hard to do.\u00a0 With his race car design, I can easily see the new Beast Hunters Smokescreen being repainted into Drag Strip.\u00a0 Unfortunately I don\u2019t think the Optimus would look quite right as Motormaster.\u00a0 Maybe Ultra Magnus would though.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.itsalltrue.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/wrid2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-22993\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.itsalltrue.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/wrid2.jpg?resize=640%2C447\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"447\" Wildrider is pretty much the same mold as Wheeljack and Dead End.\u00a0 He\u2019s got that fun ninja-monkey physique in robot mode, while his car has a sleek Cybertronian sporty look.\u00a0 Normally the Takara version has additional appendages for the Arms Micron figures to attach to, but this mold only has a couple of pegs on the rear spoiler.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.itsalltrue.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/wrid3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-22994\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.itsalltrue.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/wrid3.jpg?resize=640%2C480\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.itsalltrue.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/wrid3.jpg?w=640 640w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.itsalltrue.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/wrid3.jpg?resize=300%2C225 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.itsalltrue.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/wrid3.jpg?resize=400%2C300 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Wildrider does have a completely new head sculpt though.\u00a0 Where Dead End has a crazy screaming face, Wildrider has a very serious and reserved look.\u00a0 I also really like that tall helmet look.\u00a0 It kind of reminds me of a Beefeater hat, or maybe one of those Canadian hats with the flaps on the side.\u00a0 The head sculpt does have some red light piping, but they painted the eyes gold.\u00a0 I usually hate that, but red eyes on a red face would probably be too much.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.itsalltrue.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/wrid4.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-22995\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.itsalltrue.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/wrid4.jpg?resize=640%2C320\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"320\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.itsalltrue.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/wrid4.jpg?w=640 640w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.itsalltrue.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/wrid4.jpg?resize=300%2C150 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.itsalltrue.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/wrid4.jpg?resize=400%2C200 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Wildrider\u2019s body is molded in dark gray with maroon highlights.\u00a0 The subdued colors really work well for the figure and give him more of that polar opposite feel from his Dead End.\u00a0 Aside from a couple more gold painted details, the rest of his colors come from stickers.\u00a0 Normally I don\u2019t use too many stickers on the main figure, but that crooked Decepticon logo on the hood was just too cool to pass up.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.itsalltrue.net\/?p=22989&amp;page=2\">Continue to page 2&#8230;<\/a><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<p><a happy to discover that Takara added some bonus Stunticon stickers to the sheet.\u00a0 Just like with Rumble and Frenzy, I love these little bits of extra bling.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.itsalltrue.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/wrid5.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-22996\" comes with a couple different accessories.\u00a0 Sometimes Takara ditches the Hasbro accessories for the added Arms Micron figure, so I was happily surprised to see that they included the two katanas that came with the Hasbro releases of this mold.\u00a0 This time the blades are black and a bit more rubbery though.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.itsalltrue.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/wrid6.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-22997\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.itsalltrue.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/wrid6.jpg?resize=640%2C480\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.itsalltrue.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/wrid6.jpg?w=640 640w, \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As for the Arms Micron, Wildrider gets a gray elephant named Ozu.\u00a0 I really love the unmistakable pachyderm look, and I think he may be the cutest minicon in the line so far.\u00a0 It\u2019s hard to believe this little guy is a Decepticon.\u00a0 (Reminds me of that Futurama joke:\u00a0 He\u2019s an elephant who never forgets\u2026 to <em>kill<\/em>!)<\/p>\n<p>According to the TF Wiki, Ozu\u2019s alt mode is a grenade launcher.\u00a0 Personally, I think it looks more like an old Tommy gun with a large drum shaped magazine.\u00a0 I also think the Tommy gun look suits Wildrider\u2019s overall serious appearance.\u00a0 He\u2019s like a Transformers version of Buttons McBoomBoom!\u00a0 If only he had a fedora\u2026<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.itsalltrue.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/wrid8.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-22999\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.itsalltrue.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/wrid8.jpg?resize=640%2C480\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.itsalltrue.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/wrid8.jpg?w=640 640w, I\u2019m pretty happy with this figure.\u00a0 (That\u2019s probably pretty obvious since it\u2019s the third time I\u2019ve bought this mold.)\u00a0 But I really do enjoy that he\u2019s the exact opposite of his teammate Dead End.\u00a0 And even though it\u2019s not necessary, I would like to see a complete set of Prime Stunticons.\u00a0 Plus, elephant Tommy
