\"\"<\/a>While Noisy is busy draining his wallet on MP Transformers, my funds are condemned to a different fate.\u00a0 I\u2019m not really sure when I’ll have to tap out (Biollante will probably test that), but for now I\u2019m pretty happy to currently complete my collection with Godzilla Junior.<\/p>\n

Godzilla Junior made his debut in Godzilla vs. Destoroyah<\/em>, and is the older form of Baby\/Little Godzilla.\u00a0 Although not fully an adult, he was still able to fend off Destoroyah\u2019s smaller aggregate form.\u00a0 Unfortunately Destoroyah\u2019s final form was too much for the little guy and he was nearly killed during the final battle.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Junior here is a pretty good little figure.\u00a0 When I say little, I really mean it.\u00a0 He\u2019s a little less than four inches tall, making his body about the same size as Little Godzilla and Fire Rodan.\u00a0 Unfortunately he doesn\u2019t have the baby fat or wings to give him that extra size boost.\u00a0 I\u2019m definitely OK with him being much smaller than the larger figures of the line. \u00a0I just wish he were a bit bigger than his baby form.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Even though he\u2019s not much bigger than Baby, his sculpt is packed with detail.\u00a0 His body is covered in rough craggy skin, giving him a very similar look to his dad.\u00a0 He even has tiny undeveloped spines running down his back.\u00a0 One of more interesting details are the two smaller thumb-like toes on his feet.\u00a0 This is a definite departure from Big G, whose toes are all pretty much the same length.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

With his dangerous looking double row of teeth and pissed off eyes, Junior\u2019s head is also very similar to daddy\u2019s.\u00a0 But relative to his size, his face sculpt is much thinner.\u00a0 His nose is also more defined and sleek.\u00a0 There\u2019s also a bit of a raise to his upper lip, giving him kind of a cat-like mouth.\u00a0 I definitely didn\u2019t notice these details in the movie and it\u2019s nice to see they were given life on the figure.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The majority of Godzilla Jr. is painted a dark green with black accents.\u00a0 The undersides of his torso and tail have been given a light green dry brush.\u00a0 It\u2019s the same with his nose and parts of his head.\u00a0 This does a great job of helping some of the details stand out from an overly dark figure.\u00a0 His spines and claws have no problem standing out with their light gray coloring.\u00a0 The only real shocking colors on this guy are his red tongue and dark orange eyes.\u00a0 Continue to page 2…<\/a><\/p>\n

Like most of the figures in the line, Junior has excellent articulation.\u00a0 Most of his joints are made of double ball joints, but are limited by the shape of his body.\u00a0 His jaw, head, neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, upper chest, and hips all have great range.\u00a0 His elbows are double hinged, while his knees are single.\u00a0 His tail is also made up of pieces, each connected by a double ball joints.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Unfortunately he does have some limiting factors.\u00a0 Mostly it\u2019s his lower torso, which has been sculpted with him leaning forward.\u00a0 You can straighten him up a bit by pushing the joint to its limits, but he\u2019ll never pose fully upright like his dad.\u00a0 His feet and ankle also add to this hunched over look.\u00a0 They\u2019ve been sculpted to lean forward and have the appearance of a four legged animal.\u00a0 I\u2019m a bit disappointed in this limitation, but he balances so well that it definitely gives me confidence that they\u2019ll be able to pull off Zilla\u2019s engineering correctly.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Included with Godzilla Jr. are two helicopters and accessories.\u00a0 Both copters are the same and have excellent sculpts.\u00a0 I really love how well Bandai of Japan is to capture the details of the tiny vehicles in this line.\u00a0 You can even see the little white tail rotor.\u00a0 As for paint, both were molded in clear plastic so that the cockpit glass would be translucent.\u00a0 A metallic blue was applied to the body, with black added to the runners.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

One thing I also didn\u2019t expect was that each comes with two main rotors that plug into a hole on top. \u00a0The first is the typical five blades, for when they aren\u2019t turning.\u00a0 The second is actually a translucent plastic disc that\u2019s been painted with blurry blades and rotation lines to mimic the spinning action.\u00a0 Definitely an excellent effect.<\/p>\n

Each copter was also given a bendy wire and black base for various posing purposes.\u00a0 All around it looks pretty excellent in \u201caction\u201d.\u00a0 I do kind of wish the bases were translucent instead of black though, but I\u2019m assuming they wanted them to match the wire.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Although it does have a couple issues, I think the figure is still pretty great and a nice representation of the character.\u00a0 While I would have like to see an effects beam, the little helicopters make excellent vehicle pieces to add to the line.\u00a0 Godzilla Junior was originally a Tamashii Web exclusive, but Bluefin has made him available in the US also.\u00a0 You can still pick one up at Bandai\u2019s Amazon store for about $50.<\/p>\n
