henchmen. I wouldn’t call him a genius, but he does seem to have a bit of a sarcastic personality. I really got the impression that he’d rather be somewhere else instead of serving Flogg and Skeletor.

<img decoding="async" loading="lazy" class="aligncenter is pretty cool for a lot of reasons, but what I love most about Slushy is that he’s another perfect example of the Four Horsemen’s amazing talent to cobble together a unique looking figure out of a handful of new pieces. His torso, arms, and legs are all Whiplash pieces, while his hands and feet are Merman’s. Lastly, his underwear/shorts and shin armor are from Icarius.

<img decoding="async" loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-19018" comes with one major new body part. His armor, bubble helmet, and head are all new and connected to each other. The head itself isn’t even the kind of head we’re used to getting on a MOTUC figure. The outside part is sculpted to look normal, but the inside is hollow and made out of the same translucent plastic as his helmet. This is to keep the water from leaking out of his helmet, and it does a really good job.

<img decoding="async" loading="lazy" Head’s paint job is pretty detailed, but most of it is subtle. There’s a lot of darker gradiant shading on his skin, and even the blue armor pieces have been given a faint black spray to make them look a bit worn. The armor also has intricately sculpted details that are either highlighted with silver or a darker metallic blue.

<a one. Slushy’s head can’t move since it is part of his helmet/armor. There’s not even a peg to put a head on. His armor just sits over his shoulders without issue. Continue to page 2…

<a I don’t really care much about Slush’s ability to hold water in his helmet. I would much more prefer to be able to move his head. It’s not just for the subtle emotions you can invoke with the slightest twist, but the fact that he can’t eve turn his head from side to side. This figure will always have to face straight ahead, and I don’t think I like that.

<img decoding="async" loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-19022" comes with a few accessories, two of which are mechanical tentacles with claws on the end. These two pieces plug into his backpack and can swivel at both ends. At first I was a bit disappointed that these tentacles weren’t bendy, but now I think it was the right decision to make them out of a sturdy plastic. I don’t need them to be drooping to the ground in a couple of months.

Slush’s second accessory is a laser gun that can double as a techno ax. I really love the design of this weapon, and his backpack. They definitely give off a Kirby-esque vibe to me, and I can’t help thinking that’s what the original designers and 4 Horsemen had in mind.

<a be hard for most figures to follow a spectacular specimen like Draego-Man, but I think that Slush Head did a fantastic job of holding his own. The mix of various body parts from previous characters turned out well again, and adding the new pieces always seems to push the figure into their own unique look and feel. I’m always happy to see New Adventures of He-Man in the
