They are the missing figures. The characters toy companies never got around to, never thought were important enough, or worse – the figures companies felt the need to show us at comicon in the “We’re Never Gonna Make These” case. Saturdays are for these figures…

We here at ItsAllTrue.Net were happy to find Wave 2 at TRU over the weekend and the Ghostbusters shelf is filling up pretty quickly for such a relatively new toyline. We looked ahead to see which figures were still to come and were surprised to find that we’re only six figures away from the “current” end of the line. And barely that, since two of the six are identical to ones we have, and three are different versions of characters we already have. That leaves Gozer, if you’re counting with us.

Now, we know that DST is waiting on sales results from everything so far to know what they’re doing next. That’s fine, sound business strategy. But the mere thought that the Ghostbusters minimates line could end after Gozer is crazy. That’s not enough for us, and we don’t think it’s enough for the rest of the Ghostbusters minimates fans either…

We’re not really making any specific requests here. The image above does show ten possibilities – and we did split it 50/50 ghost/human to keep with the two-pack theme, but we’ll take most characters in a proposed wave three. There’s a few that we do admit to wanting more than others though. Noisy loves the darker Ghostbusters II uniforms and feels his collection is incomplete because it’s missing that version of Egon. Vault won’t be happy until he gets Walter Peck (two Walter Peck figures in a year, no less). Janine is a must. Either version would do, but we imagine the Ghostbusters II outfits would probably make for better minimates. A regular Dana. The Mayor. Judge Wexler, AKA The Hammer. Even Janosz as an evil Mary Poppins would be sweet.

And the ghosts? Vigo is a must of course and the Scoleri Brothers would be high on any list , but after them, throw any random ghost from the movies and we’ll be happy. Well, it may be silly, but an evil minimate bath tub would rock.

Finally, we know that there’s going to have be more versions of the guys. It does keep us from getting a good selection of characters, but we understand the tradeoff. It’s the guys that will get us more figures overall and there’s some we do went. Venkman with the tiny bit of marshmallow on his head would be funny next to the Ray we have already. The second movie, in addition to the “desperately” needed Egon in dark grey, also offers the abandoned subway uniforms or the Con-Ed costumes. Winston and Ray with slime cannons instead of proton packs. Ray slimed in Pink or with a Vigo Head. Still plenty of possibilities.

Wave 2 is out now. The last 4pk and Previews exclusive 2pk is due out next month. Hopefully, with the sales figures bound to come in soon, Art Asylum and DST will throw us a bone, and let us know about Wave 3 and beyond. We’re more than ready to hear about them.

[11,18,10
2561,93,2563,2560
This year, we've featured eighteen Most Requested articles.
