\"\"<\/a>There are only three episodes left of Gokaiger and then it\u2019ll be over.\u00a0 So I thought I\u2019d celebrate its ending by reviewing my Gokai Green figure, and also paying for my Gokai Silver which was just released this week.\u00a0 Now just the two girls left.<\/p>\n

Gokai Green, aka Don \u201cDoc\u201d Dogoier, isn\u2019t a very good pirate.\u00a0 Unlike his comrades, Doc has very few fighting skills and a somewhat cowardly disposition when it comes to confrontations.\u00a0 But when he\u2019s forced into battle, he\u2019ll stand up to his enemies with a clumsy fighting style, using anything in his surrounding environment attack with or at least cause a distraction.\u00a0 All in all, he\u2019s easily the comedy relief character in the group.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Doc\u2019s real strengths lie in his ingenious technical and organizational abilities.\u00a0 The Gokaigers first enlisted his help to fix their ship, the Gokai Galleon, after a particularly harrowing battle with the Zangyack fleet.\u00a0 But when Don was also able to organize the cluttered bridge and prepare a nutritious meal for the crew, Captain Marvelous \u201cinsisted\u201d he join.\u00a0 Since then Doc has used his skills to improve the Gokai\u2019s arsenal and assisting his crew in battles, even if it still scares him.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

If you\u2019ve read my other two Gokaiger reviews, you already know what to expect with the Figuarts sculpt since they guys all share the same body.\u00a0 There are a couple of new pieces though; most notable is his helmet with a boxy looking visor.<\/p>\n

His paint job is also familiar, only now with a green shade on his colored bits.\u00a0 One thing that I\u2019m happy to report is that I\u2019ve had no more issues with quality control in this area.\u00a0 I\u2019m much happier to end up with a bad Red, than have these problems continually plague the line.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I think the Figuarts body is probably my favorite \u201cbuck\u201d system just because of how awesome the articulation is.\u00a0 Green\u2019s head, neck, torso, hips, and ankles are all ball joints.\u00a0 His shoulders are swivel\/hinges attached to a ball joint.\u00a0 His elbows and knees are double hinged, and there\u2019s also a hinge on his toe joint.\u00a0 His wrists are swivel\/hinges, and his biceps and thighs have a swivel joint.\u00a0 You can get some very lifelike poses with this articulation.\u00a0 This particularly comes in handy with a character like Doc, who\u2019s always clumsily leaping and cartwheeling through battles.\u00a0 Continue to page 2…<\/a><\/p>\n

Like the rest of the crew, Doc comes with a Gokai Saber and Pistol, a key figure, an open key, his Mobirates phone\/morpher, and multiple hands for holding his accessories or fighting poses.\u00a0 But this time one extra pair of open palmed waving hands was included.\u00a0 Doc can be a bit effeminate at times, and he has a tendency to strike some very odd poses.\u00a0 This set of waving hands really allows you to bring that personality out in the figure.<\/p>\n

The first release of Doc also comes with a green Gokai Darin to control his Zord.\u00a0 Three down, just two more Darins to go!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Doc comes with the seventh member of the Gokaiger crew, Navi!\u00a0 Navi\u2019s a small mechanical parrot who originally belonged to Aka Red.\u00a0 His job is to help guide the crew to new keys and powers, run the ship, connects the keys to the Gokai belts, and ne even joins in on battles if needed.\u00a0 Navi\u2019s sculpting is amazing, and there are details I never would have noticed from the show.\u00a0 I think my favorite is the fact that he is stylized like an old violin.\u00a0 Just look at the f-holes on his back, or the stringlike patterns on his wings.\u00a0 Even better, is that Navi is articulated.\u00a0 His head and legs are swivel joints, but his wings are swivel\/hinges, which allow him to pose and move just like his on-screen counterpart.\u00a0 Navi may be a bit of a mascot character, but he has a fun personality and I\u2019m really glad they included him in the line.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

There\u2019re no real surprises here with the figure, and I\u2019m still enjoying them quite a bit.\u00a0 Navi is the perfect addition to Doc, and the fact that they put so much work into him is amazing.\u00a0 The only downside is how expensive it can get to pick up so many imports, especially when you get to the two girls since they\u2019re exclusives.\u00a0 But if you don\u2019t mind the higher price tag, I think the figures are totally worth it.<\/p>\n
