<\/a>While most of my time Friday evening and Saturday morning was dedicated to getting our three MattyCollector checklists updated, I was still keeping track of a few links I wanted to share when I had more time. With the San Diego Convention wrapping up today, I imagine now’s good. <\/p>\nBefore I get completely past MOTU & DC, there were still some new Mattel items on Saturday. ActionFigurePics posted videos for the DC<\/a> & MOTU<\/a> Panels along with their own image galleries of both (DC Gallery<\/a> \/ MOTU Gallery<\/a>).<\/p>\n Also, Mattel put out some packaged MOTU Clssics samples today which allowed folks at TNI<\/a> and Pixel Dan<\/a> to beam pictures of the bios back to the rest of us. Those Bios (Demo-Man, Evil-Lyn, Icarius, Snout Spout, Bubble She-Ra, and Swiftwind are now added to my MOTU Classics Bio Page<\/a>. Check it out! <\/p>\n Finally, Mattel also showed a few items beyond MOTU\/DCUC that I didn’t really cover on Friday so I’ve got a few more Mattel links: <\/p>\n Young Justice. <\/strong>Does anyone want a Young Justice checklist? Primarily for the 6″ line, I mean? The 6″ line is tempting to mix in to DCUC. They don’t all work, but some do and it’s cool to see Sportsmaster, Guardian, and Kid Flash added to the six inch ranks. I love those bases. ToyArk has a nice 6″ Gallery<\/a> and a 4″ gallery for good measure<\/a>. <\/p>\n WWE.<\/strong> WWE is a huge deal, but it’s one I don’t know anything about. I was surprised to learn that the Legends line was going to go Mattycollector Exclusive, but I also realize that Vault bought a Slaughter for $3 recently. I’m not sure what you’ll find, but I have seen coverage of WWE at MWCToys<\/A> & ToyArk<\/a>. If someone knows of an excellent wrestling toy site with better coverage (I’m sure there is one), let me know and I can add it in. <\/p>\n Some other Mattel Quick hits: Voltron @ MWCToys<\/a>, Ghostbusters Booth pics @ ToyArk<\/a>, Action League @ ToyArk<\/A>, Cars @ MWCToys<\/a>, and Vault would be remiss if I didn’t post as least one Monster High<\/A> link (via MWCToys). <\/p>\n Of course the big news to hit the net today was the Hasbro\/Marvel<\/strong> panel. Toy Ark has coverage of the Panel<\/a> & the Booth<\/a>. We were shown quite a bit of new product and I guess I was a little behind. I updated our Marvel Universe 2011 page<\/a> with the information for Waves 16 & 17 and some comic packs, but the panel was ready for 2012! <\/p>\n They showed the following figures: 2012 Wave 1 – Ultimate Spidey, Hulk, Beast, Beta Ray Bill, & Kraven<\/strong>, 2012 Wave 2 – Scarlet Witch, Punisher, Future Foundation Spidey (with a Paper Bag variant I think), She-Hulk, & Kang<\/strong>, 2012 Wave 3 – Angel, Nighthawk, Nova, Hercules, & Puck<\/strong>. In addition to that they showed some designs for a Jubilee. I’ll get a 2012 page started here in a few weeks, but pics are available from ToyArk<\/a> now.<\/p>\n I’m honestly conflicted about MU. I don’t need to collect two scales of Marvel figures and I’m much more partial to 6″. That said – Beta Ray Bill, Nova, Hercules… I can see myself still grabbing a few. Also, that Future Foundation Spidey looks great – especially when the upcoming F4 3pk appears to be getting a running change to the Future Foundation Uniforms<\/a> (via ToyArk). Regardless of what scale I’m buying, I’m in for the Masterworks and 2012 will be an excellent Fin Fang Foom<\/a> (via ToyArk).<\/p>\n As I mentioned, Marvel Legends has returned and the Panel & Booth coverage links above will take you to picks of that stuff as well. We already learned that Wave 1 will feature BAF Terrax<\/strong> with Steve Rogers<\/strong> (& an electric shield variant), Hope, Extremis Iron Man <\/strong>(with a Stealth Variant), Klaw, Constrictor, and Ghost Rider<\/strong> (orange deco & blue deco versions). A Heroic Age Thor<\/strong> is also in the wave, but similar to Mattel’s All-Star program, he’s a heavy hitter that doesn’t feature a BAF piece. Cool. <\/p>\n While Wave 2 doesn’t have a firm release date, some figures are laid out for already, including Bucky Cap<\/strong>, Thunderball & Madame Masque<\/strong> (those last two will feature running changes where they become whole new characters, Piledriver & Madame Hydra<\/strong> respectively, as well as announced, but not shown versions of Drax the Destroyer, Big Time Spidey<\/strong> (apparently black & green?), and Daken. Buy all those and you can build an Arnim Zola<\/strong>. Arnim is pure Kirby goodness and it’s really going to strain my budget to afford him. Another cool tidbit for him is that, apparently the Red Skull <\/strong>recently appeared using a spare Zola body. The running change figures will include different parts so that you build this Red Skull version. I’m blown away by that. <\/p>\n Just imagine the simple logistics that would allow for. Think of all the DCUC variants (or earlier ML variants) that could have come with unique pieces that would let you customize the BAF\/C&Cs? Even simple things like angry heads or different heads. I’m probably not going to go out of my way to build a Red Skull version, but the implications are awesome. As I said, ToyArk has pics in the links above, but also hit up MarvelousNews for more Legends pics<\/A> and more Universe pics<\/A>.<\/p>\n On other other note. Whether you read the panel coverage at CTR, AFI’s Twitter, TNI, ToyArk, etc., the panel appeared to really stress that the Marvel Legends will have “rocker” ankles.
