<\/center><\/p>\nOne of the interesting things about MOTU that makes it different from most other properties is the disparity between it’s different canons. You have the fans that swear by the mini-comics, by the comic book, or by the cartoon. You have other fans who prefer 200x to the 80s versions altogether. All of this openness gives fans a lot of room to add to their own personal mythology to Masters of the Universe. I had two Zodac’s as a kid, the Black Armor from the Weapon’s pack, and the uncertainty if Zodac was good or evil master. A sharpie to the second Zodac’s helped fix all that and created his evil counterpart Zadoc. <\/p>\n

\nI made another version of Zadoc in 200x, so it seemed natural to bring Zadoc into my Classics Display. I’ve upgraded my custom skills past sharpie level though. Zadoc is painted with black acrylics this time around and his symbol changed to red for a little more evil of a look. And then there’s the Master Blade of Empyrean….<\/p>\n

The swords are the product of a far greater customizer than myself, AFI’s Spymagician<\/a>. He designed, sculpted, and casts the Master Blades himself. I was lucky enough to see his blog<\/a> post and pick up two swords from him back in early June. The swords are high quality for a custom sculpt, and of course, look great with the figures. Check out his blog for some pictures of other versions of the sword. So my hat’s off to Spymagician who not only created the awesome swords, but also has helped me with some invaluable advice for my own casting. Spy, if you’re reading, thanks! <\/p>\n That’s it for the blog’s first custom. Even though I said they may be far and few between, we’ll have two more coming up in the next couple weeks! <\/p>\n
