Would You or Wouldn't You (The Art of Toy Buying)

For all the lines not covered in our themed forums. Think Thundercats, Ghostbusters, Voltron, Wrestling, Doctor Who, Power Rangers, Video Game Licenses, TV & Film Licenses... do I need to go on or did you have it figured out before I even started?

This reminds me of a story about when I could've gotten vintage Metroplex... but that's another thread.

I think you did do it. What say you?

The answer is a big ol'...........

HELLS YES!!!! :sectaur:

I'd be a busted-idiot not to jump on that! I was only the 4th person to look at the auction so I did some quick research to see what they were going for. At the time, a boxed US one sold for $75 and a loose Japanese one without his minicon or the chromed out mini Optimus went for $70. And those prices are before shipping mind you. So basically it was a buy one get one free sale. The Japanese box did have some moisture damage on the back, but the graphics are perfect and the US one is as mint as they come. The Japanese one has a few different paint apps as the US version, so with the thinking "when else will I ever get the chance to get the Japanese one?" (especially at that price), he's the one I opened and am keeping. The US one will be heading back to eBay shortly unless someone here wants to make me an offer.

Unfortunatly, since it was so close to Christmas and I needed to make up the cash quick to be able to buy my wife the food processor she wanted, the next day I sacrificed my Outer Space Men: Alpha Wave set on the alter of the toy gods.
