"Most Requested" Discussion Thread

For all the lines not covered in our themed forums. Think Thundercats, Ghostbusters, Voltron, Wrestling, Doctor Who, Power Rangers, Video Game Licenses, TV & Film Licenses... do I need to go on or did you have it figured out before I even started?

Vault's pulling Thursday's MRQ. The schedule calls for a video game character. What have you guys got in that vein?

Samus Aran would be a great choice. Infact I'd love to see a lot of characters from that series get figures (Ridley, Kraid, the space pirates, etc.).

I know I'm pulling some old characters (as old as ones that first hit the scene in 2000 can be) but I always wanted figures of Gabe Logan and all the baddies from Syphon Filter. To this day SF is one of my all time fave video game franchises.

i'd take a lu bu from dynasty warriors

or a minotaur from the god of war series

or orchid from killer instinct

or a bag of random body parts from carmagedon

1/12 scale vehicles from twisted metal would be bonzer

any of the cast of war of the monsters would be awesome

the dudes from bad dudes would be cool

maybe a line from final fight (but i'd start w/ hagar, cody and an andore)

the double dragon twins would be cool (from the game, not the movie!)

splatterhouse figs would be fresh

any of the neo geo fighters would be nice (notice that my avatar is a constant ad for genjuro from samurai shodown 2, that's no coincidence)

maybe battle arena toshinden would be awesome too?

and let's not forget, tekken got screwed the last time they were slated to get figs, and i wanted those too dammit!

oh yeah, i forgot warzard too, that game needs cool figs STAT! given the capcom aesthetic, and their work in the past, i am recommending mezco this time, not NECA who i think has proven they can half-ass the best of lines.

Oh yeah, I was just talking about it over at FanEx. What about the 8-bit Nintendo game Pro Wrestling! Check out these sweet customs of those awseome characters!

I've said for years and I still believe, Centurions was a great concept that was never fully explored. The base body is the same for every character and while individual head sculpts would be nice they would not be required in a 2-4 inch scale. Different colors represent different divisions in the corps just as it did before, green - land, blue - sea, orange - air, add brown - subterranean, white - command, black - night operations, purple - space. The same figures can be released wave after wave, year after year. The new pieces in each wave would be weapons packs, vehicles and even play sets, all with interchangeable parts that can be reconfigured on the figures or with each other. The concept rewards a child for their dexterity, imagination, and creativity by allowing them to expand the play value themselves rather than get stuck inside that retail box.

I have design ideas but no drawing skills.

We're up to 600 votes so far... we've got three standouts with one character on the bubble trying to bump there way in... [grin]

Resurrecting this thread cause I just had an idea for a sweet line:

BATTLETOADS & DOUBLE DRAGON

Awesome two birds way to get good figures from both properties!

You could probably pull off using a buck for the Lee brothers as well as the main Toads, and that way you'd leave room for tons of cool accessories, like limb attachments to recreate the huge boot, football helm, blades, etc. on the Toads special moves. How cool would that be?!

Throw in a BAF Abobo and you'd have a winner!!!! [smile]
