Shocker! Shocker has toys.

For all the lines not covered in our themed forums. Think Thundercats, Ghostbusters, Voltron, Wrestling, Doctor Who, Power Rangers, Video Game Licenses, TV & Film Licenses... do I need to go on or did you have it figured out before I even started?

Actually the Madman looks pretty good and it's hard to screw up Scud. But overall I've been really underwhelmed by Shocker's take on these chracters (especially The Maxx & The Tick). I appreciate what they're trying to accomplish, but it's almost like they're trying to re-invent the wheel when it comes to the articulation and I think the sculpts suffer as a result.

I love their character selection, but just not feeling the final products.

It's weird. It seems the only TRU near me to get the 1st series of these figures is the one that's the furthest away from any comic shops or readers for that matter. They've been sitting at that store relatively untouched since last summer. Although, their "collector friendly" packaging (ala what the 4 Horsemen use, but not executed as well) has become "five finger discount friendly" packaging, as most are missing their litte Isz's or accessories.

They botched Dick Tracy embarrassingly so, and that was the only figure so far that intrigued me a little.

That they couldn't top ET's sculpt of Maxx after how many years says a lot.

yeah, collector friendly packaging really needs to be reserved for online only toys, for that exact reason.

IDK, shocker's PR kept me from investing in series 1 at all, especially after seeing photos of maxx parts scattered thither and yon... BUT i admit the tick looks pretty decent, if you can get past articulation that makes the largest ML ball joint look like a skin covered HT rambo. i was interested in the astro zombies clear blue version, and the barry hubris, but i suspect i'll end up totally passing on these. that said, the proposed series 3 grendel, if done well, could lure me to their business... but MAN they have got get that production finished before my kids are in college. i just can't even conceive how these take so long to get made. fan ex has cranked out 3 series of figs and may well have a fourth out before these tards can get their second set well distributed. (yes, indy spotlight was getting rolling right about the time fan ex 1 was getting launched... we got xetheus, they got... a fall apart maxx. way to go shocker.

I can't stop looking away from Madman's most prominent crotch.

That is all.

Tick and the Mucus Tick shipped early
From what I read, only Shocker's web site has these for sale.

I have a regular Tick preordered through BBTS and will have to wait until they get cases of the entire series 2.

Here's a link to Lemonjuice's review of the Tick figures.

While I don't care much for the Tick, I'm tempted to check out the Dick Tracy & Blank (whenever the opportunity arises).

that tick figure is very tempting... but i'd just like to go on record, is some folks think the ML articulation was ugly, these are things are HIDEOUS!
