Collection Pics? Let's see 'em!

For all the lines not covered in our themed forums. Think Thundercats, Ghostbusters, Voltron, Wrestling, Doctor Who, Power Rangers, Video Game Licenses, TV & Film Licenses... do I need to go on or did you have it figured out before I even started?

There's a thread for it now! (you'll have to excuse me, I'm a little loose with the edit button sometimes.. )

This one is waaay old, but the website keeps my toy shelves pretty torn up. I used to have a lot more space, but currently I only allow myself a 4ft shelf to keep things simple (The cellar is a nightmare though):

Mer-Man's in the pic but no Zodac, so I'm going to go with May 2009. Kinda sad to look at it and see what I've sold since then.

Here are a couple shots of the shelves in my studio space of my current residence. They were taken about a year and a half ago (about 4 months after we moved in) and the only thing I realy had in order were my Sectaurs. My TFs had just been taken out of their storage boxes so they were simply split into Autobots and Decepticons at that point. The other shelves below are just in disaray and I didn't even own any MotUC yet. I'll get some new ones shot soon. :sectaur:

You like Sectaurs or something?

I'd love to see more pics of that TF collection. I was working on a Binaltech/Alternators collection, but I couldn't keep up with it at the time. I sold off most of it since then.

So, this thread motivated me to clean up that shelf and get some good pics (plus company will be coming for the wedding - if I must suffer the stigma of being a toy collector, I shall at least be a tidy one! ). I thought that the one drawback to this "keep it to a 4ft shelf scenario" would be that the C&C/BAF/big stuff simply has to be on the top shelf, so mixing lines is a must.

But then while working on it today, I realized that almost all of the BAF/C&Cs will actually fit on the lower shelves. Boo.

I really got into G1'ing my Alts, I bought Reprolabel kits to upgrade Wheeljack, Mirage, Prowl, Jazz, Tracks, and got their kit that turns movie Ironhide into Trailbreaker.

A couple things to note in that pic, second from the left is my custom Perceptor (red Jeep w/blue arms) and way down on the other end is the awesome oversized knock off of G1 Soundwave. He's actually as tall as Masterpiece Starscream.

Gah, I gotta get some better pics taken. [angry]

BTW, nice looking collections TSR (Who makes those Vincents?)! I noticed, like me, you went the "seriously cost-effective display system" of using sturdy foamcore to display your figures. Amazing how many figures you can display by spending $20 and using a saturday afternoon to put them together.

thank you!

My wife used to make the foamcore displays for me in interesting shapes but she got tired of the task, so I make the more generic, yearbook photo style.

The giant VINcent is from Mindstyle; he was a SDCC exclusive a couple of shows back with a tiny edition of 300 made. Since then, they've released him in Tron colors and then another edition that looks like mine but is supposed to be slightly different. I haven't seen that one in person, but in pics it looks the same.

Cooltoyreview took some awesome shots of him here: http://www.cooltoyreview.com/SDCC09PA-M ... INcent.asp

As for the smaller guys, they're Medicom Kubricks from the Disney blind box releases. They've yet to be rereleased and are out of print, so for small figures, they go for decent change in the $30-40 range. :P

I was noticing yer displays too. I've always bought those 3 tiered spice rack/pantry thingies you put on yer shelves. Problem is finding them to exactly fit my IKEA shelves....so yer foamcore works perfectly. i may steal that idea
