The "Catch-(Mostly)-All" Toy Thread

For all the lines not covered in our themed forums. Think Thundercats, Ghostbusters, Voltron, Wrestling, Doctor Who, Power Rangers, Video Game Licenses, TV & Film Licenses... do I need to go on or did you have it figured out before I even started?

Luckily that stuff has been in my wife's purse for the better part of 2 decades. So a shot there would only tickle.

don't worry ebbie, before she gives it back him, she's got to wipe the melty lipstick and lint off of it... at least yours is still pristine. [grin]

anyone else think the self-admitted non-he-man fan michael crawford now manages w/ extreme regularity to use he-man as a scale comparison for his reviews? i think it's a great testament to the power of the character and the horsemen's designs... it makes each mwc review fee like a nod as i was one of a gaggle of folks gushing over motuc and i hope (though it may be falacious) that i helped convince him to give the line a try. and he is a great scale comparison fig.

that said, mc was reviewing the new NECA freddy tonight (http://mwctoys.com/REVIEW_050310a.htm) and i must say, i love the sculpt details, but this is just not my fig (not enough articulation) and not my freddy (not the bubble faced englund that scarred my childhood.) the box office take was respectable, so clearly a new generation of horror fiends enjoyed their new freddy...

that said, mike took a jab at the rob zombie halloween remakes that i must say, i disagree w/. true, they were a distinct departure from the old franchise (2 moreso than 1), but i think they were great films in their own right and certainly gave me a michael myers i preferred. i still think 2 is misunderstood... i watch it and can't help but feel like michael was dead through the whole movie... the michael content was in laurie's head and she's losing her battle. in other words, after one, she flipped her wig and michael is now a phantom stalking her sanity... and he's killing it. just my thoughts though.

Yeah, the sculpting on the figure is good, but that Freddy just looks goofy, like a friendly alien or Abe Sapien or something.

Maybe it's scarier in the shadows? [sweat]
