the laser decos aren't my favorites but they're not bad... i'd add them with more interest than i will flying fists he-man... i hope the base on FFHM is at least something i can use for customs... i didn't mind TCS nearly as much as FFHM, that was just not a figure or concept that excited me. if they decided not to include FFHM, or give us ice armor instead, i'd be great with that. honestly, i dislike FFHM so much, he was one of the largest sticking points when i was deciding if i wanted to sub up at all. i like literally every other he-variant that was ever released better than FFHM, even some of the obscure versions from the millennial set, like wolf armor he-man. hell, i'd take some of the concept art he-men before FF. [smile] don't ask me why, that ensemble, and it's corresponding power set, just really irk me. i see the motuc as a set of bits i'll be selling in a future collection purge. luckily for me, there are guys like ibentmymanthing and zombihamma trying hard to give me something productive to do with the duds in the collection.

as for that OTHER december figure... same thing, maybe i can use his bits for something more daring? i like the na he-man body overall, and i like the hands, which hopefully would be part of the deal... i just need a new head and some armor and weapons and we'll have something that doesn't make me want to stuff ball bearing up my urethra and run past industrial magnets.

I'm all set with ..........Dare.......... he'll probably go on display next to my King He-Man, and remain unopened. I guess it'll be kind of neat. If we get that character though, I hope we get Despara.

Okay, so we're getting Dare (and Despara).

And no vac-metal on Flying Fists He-Man, but Laser Power He-Man will light up without me having to kitbash anything.

I think I can just about live with all that. };D

Since I've got a whole sheet of ultra-thin, sticky-backed mirror-chrome foil, I may have a go at making "vac-metal" armour for FFHM. Still need to get around to doing the goggles on my Mekaneck and my other Rio Blast, though . . . .

I think the vac metal is really what made FF He-Man unique and made him pop, w/o that he's really just BA He-Man. On the other hand vac metal can degrade over time and get dammaged, so maybe it's really for the best.

If by "degrade over time and get damaged" you mean "flake off inside the packaging and look like crap by the time the figure's even in the consumer's hands," then I'd say that's a fair assessment.

Vac-metal sucks.

i like anti he-man, despite that on the whole, the variant he-men are starting to make me feel figure fat. is that wrong?

It's weird, but since I reached the "I don't play with my toys a lot, I mostly just display them" stage of my life, I've not had any problems with vac-metal flaking or coming off. I think there's one spot where the red glaze came off one of the neck panels on my TransMetal II dragon Megatron, but that's about it.

Dunno why, if it's the fact that the light levels and/or temperature and/or humidity in this part of the world is more conducive to preserving vac-metal, or if I'm somehow just doing something right in preserving them, or what.

What do you mean by "figure fat," DR?

figure fat is a new expression i'm trying out, like when you sit down to a plate of bangers and mash, and you hit the wall where you're full, but there's one banger left on the plate... you don't want to pack up just one banger, but you know if you eat it, you'll feel disgusting and bloated, but then, you paid for it, it's a shame to let it go waste... that feeling, only with toys instead of food.

with he-man, i look at what i have, and i know there's already two more coming that i don't want, and there's dare, who's, let's face it, another he-man, but there's this anti he-man in the works, and he's pretty, and he sure would look cool on the shelf, but man, my shelves are already feeling bloated, and the girls don't pay attention to the toy shelf like they used to, but at this point in the glut, what's one more he-man... that feeling. figure fat. feel free to pass that one around. just remember, in a year, when it's a thing, where you heard it from first.
