For those who don't know this about me yet: when I bust out some paints, I try to do touch-ups on a bunch of figures at once, and then proceed to take pics and vomit them around the same time on forums.

So please forgive me if my repaint-pic-posting starts to get to any of ya!

That said, here's my repainted face for DC 2-pack Skelly, since I thought the standard version rather lacking.

And despite my usual tendency to Dull-Cote things, I'm keeping this Skelly shiny, cause he looks cool with BA He-Man!

Just improved the detail on Mattel's stupid paint him all yellow and then give him a black cartoon Frankenstein's monster scar over his teeth paint job.

That Skelly head sculpt has some INSANE detail, and it's a shame no Skelly release has appropriately showcased it.

dude, no doubt, skelly is one hot little number...

do you remember the formula one of the fwooshers posted a long while back for a flexible molding compound? it was a combination of like like two products, but i can't remember enough about the stuff to find it w/ a google search... i was thinking of possibly making a tweak to the skele-hood.

You can buy a rubber casting material from Micro-Mark that's primarily used for making replacement tires for model kits . Cool thing is that it's a clear/white color and you can add any pigment tint you want (you can dial in the stiffness too). So you could make a pretty cool flexi-hood for Skelly.

Got some pics of Tytus.

First, his face is the wrong color, I'm in the middle of repainting him to get rid of those ghastly (and glossy!! ) lines on his nose, so just ignore that.

And a closer look at that custom He-Ro sword from Plastique Realm:



Quality-wise, it's pretty good.
I would've liked it to be a little more translucent, and a little more glittery.

Considering the price plus shipping, with no other product to combine it with, it probably gets a 7/10 overall.

And that'd be assuming that you wanted the original proto sword as much as I did.
